sidequested so hard, they converted themselves into a mahjong den! CMCR has partnered up with for a special Mahjong Social Club programme, where guests can come hang and put their 胡 skills to the test. 🀄️

Along with the event, they have also just launched a new menu that’s inspired by Asian flavours, with dishes like Seafood Dry Laksa and Crispy Duck Curry.

New trendy Korean cafe in Tanjong Pagar by the same team behind .pastabar 🇰🇷 has the same ‘Seongsu’ aesthetics, with a cosy and simple set-up.

Their menu mainly focuses on brunch items that are both sweet and savoury, like Croissant with Assorted Butters, and Basil Garlic Chicken Sandwich. Portions are decent, and prices are reasonable. It can get really crowded, so make sure to come early for the best vibes.

When .lc signed me up to experience a slide, this is definitely not what I had in mind 🙃

just unveiled their new Skyslides at , featuring two 44m tall rides — including the world’s tallest land-based drop slide. It looks intense, but honestly, it was a lot of fun. There’s even themes you can choose, which actually changes the audiovisuals as you go down.

No filming is allowed, but they do have a Gopro attached to a helmet, which they will send the footage to you after.

Ngl there’s way too many matcha spots nowadays, it’s so hard to find one that’s actually good! But our friend did the world a favour, and opened her new specialty matcha bar in Shenton Way called . 🍵

They did a lot of R&D in their matcha drinks, and it clearly shows! Their Strawberry Royal Milk Pudding isn’t just like any other strawberry matcha out there — the pudding adds a layer of creaminess and satisfaction. For something less caffeinated, there’s also the Hojicha Latte which has a nice roasty taste.

This place has been on my Japan to-go list for so long, until I didn’t have to flu there anymore for it. 😅 .to.come is often regarded as the pinnacle of Japanese hamburg steak, with their uniquely shaped patties made with freshly-grounded wagyu beef.

Each patty is smacked to perfection to lock in all the juices and obtain that bouncy texture. They only have one option on their menu which is the set meal — three 90-gram hamburg steaks with free flow rice and miso soup. Every round has their own way of enjoying the meat — the first is by itself, the second is with their homemade ponzu sauce, and the last is with a creamy raw yolk. On top of that, there’s more than 10 different condiments to pair the meat with, unlocking a different palette experience every time. ✨

Tbh, the patty is already incredibly delicious by itself! Super juicy and full of flavour, I didn’t even need to add anything more. One set goes for around $27.90, which is very reasonable too for this standard. There are also side dishes to order like their Potato Salad, but you can skip out on those imo.

Checked out this yakiniku shop in Osaka that’s apparently the only one with A5 Omi T-bone steak! 🥩 Honestly, I don’t know how true is that, but the food is definitely legit.

We got the 9-coure menu for about S$132 per person, which includes all things beef. The weird part is, most of the dishes aren’t even yakiniku-style. There’s like beef tartare, tacos, and even 𝘥𝘢𝘯 𝘥𝘢𝘯 𝘮𝘪𝘢𝘯. Kinda weird, but at least the food is good! 🤔

The T-bone steak is definitely the highlight here — the marbling is perfect, and there’s a slight hint of olives. If you love fatty meat, you will love this. Although it’s good, the atmosphere of the place is a little weird, as there wasn’t anyone else in the whole restaurant aside from us. Ngl we felt that althought the food is good, it’s kinda overrated, as there are many other equally decent beef spots in Japan.
