Hard launch 💍 Haven’t been active, because we’ve been full-on prepping for our solemnisation party~ Compiled a bunch of highlights and how things went down that night.

We initially wanted to do something small, as we had to prove our marriage for the BTO. Wanted to hold a dinner event at a fancy restaurant, but the quoted price was not really worth it. Coincidentally, we were at our friend’s bar who recently reopened with a fresh new concept (and it’s also where we first met btw). Casually asked them for a rough estimate, the figures made sense, so here we are!

We want to take this chance to thank every single one of you who came down, despite it being a Sunday night. Especially the crew, y’all know who you are! Call it fate, but we love how every single person present that night was never a stranger, even the ones who we engaged like the DJ, solemniser, make-up artist etc. 🙏

And for those who weren’t present, sorry that we couldn’t call everyone, but just know that you all mattered to us too!

I mean, what were you guys expecting right? It’s bound to happen, sooner or later.

And oh, what a ride it was. There’s no better platform to share this, as this page is our baby and the product of our dates when we were just starting out in our relationship.

So much has happened throughout the years, there were ups and there were downs, but each one of those memories led up to this very day when I finally bent the knee to my queen. For all those that have been around since the very start, you would know how much Nat has been constantly hinting me, always waving her ‘empty’ hand for all to see. Well, I’m glad she can’t do that s**t anymore 😂

Although the proposal didn’t go as planned, it’s definitely something we will always remember; and I guess that is all that matters. I’m just happy I can finally relax and not spend hours, quietly tapping on a noisy keyboard and constantly looking over my shoulders, hoping she doesn’t wake up and find out what’s going on.

Time for the next chapter in life, I’m just glad I get to do life with you .lc~ 💍

SAVE THIS‼️ This new hotel has one of the best views in the whole of Osaka City! 🏯

Ask anyone where is the one place you must visit when heading over to Osaka for the first time, and it will always be Osaka Castle. However, this iconic landmark has notoriously been known for always being crowded and chaotic with swarms of tourists. But what if we tell you there’s a hotel near Osaka Castle where you can enjoy the same view (or even better), without having to deal with the crowds? 😌

This is the new under the group, and it has one of the best views in the whole of Osaka. We were surprised that the room only cost us S$250 per night, which is very reasonable especially with a view like this. There are other rooms which are cheaper, but don’t bother as the view for those is ordinary. The room is rather small at only 24 square meters, but still comfortable enough for the both of us. The best part is, since it’s a new hotel, the amenities are all brand new and the space is really clean. 👏

The hotel comes with a fitness centre, an indoor pool, and a restaurant with a panoramic view of Osaka Castle. The only issue we had about this place is that it’s really difficult to get to, as it’s a 10-minute walk away from the nearest train station and about 30 minutes away from the popular areas. However, it only took us a 15-minute walk to reach the base of Osaka Castle, so we would say it’s perfect for a short getaway but probably would be better to switch hotels if you’re staying for long.

NEW][Café Series][ ]
POPULAR LOCAL CAFÉ LOLA’S HAVE JUST OPENED IN THE EAST! ☕️

Having been around since 2013, 𝗟𝗼𝗹𝗮’𝘀 is a household name among cafe-goers for more than a decade. Following the success of their two outlets, they have just completed their most ambitious project to-date, with the opening of their largest store in Tampines. 👏

We are always skeptical about cafés in shopping malls due to the strict renovation regulations that they have to abide by; which is why we were impressed by how well the aesthetics turned out. It’s a two-storey outlet with the first being the main dining area and the top housing the coffee bar. Similar to their Holland Village outlet, the entire café is surrounded by full-length windows for a beautiful natural lighting effect. ☀️

The menu is similar to their other outlets with a couple of new additions, like the 𝗟𝗮𝗺𝗯 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗸𝘀𝗵𝘂𝗸𝗮 which is our new favourite dish from the brand. The 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝗵𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗺 & 𝗦𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝗙𝗲𝘁𝘁𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗲 is also pretty good, with a creamy savouriness. It’s not common to find mains for less than $20 in cafés nowadays too. Of course, their 𝗛𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘆 𝗣𝗮𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗸𝗮 𝗖𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗽𝘆 𝗪𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 is a must-try as well, but we gave it a miss since we had it so many times before. 🍄

[Lifestyle Series][ ] SINGAPORE’S BEST HIDDEN VINTAGE VINYL SHOP IN TAI SENG! 💽

If you’re an audiophile who is passionate about collecting and listening on vinyl, 𝗥𝗲𝗱 𝗣𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗱 𝗪𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗲 is probably a paradise to you. Operating for more than 25 years now, this 2000-sq. ft. space has over 10,000 vintage vinyl from all sorts of places and eras. 👏🏻

If you’re into treasure hunting, you can find several rare gems here including records from ’50s Chinese divas, old-school Japanese pop etc. What really surprised us was that there were even records from recent times, like really RECENT - we found a record from Taylor Swift’s latest album The Tortured Poets Department which literally was just released last month. 😱

This shop is located on the sixth floor of Kapo Factory Building, which is also the home to other vintage gems. It might be a little hard to get to, but trust us when we say it’s worth the visit.

Besides being one of the best vinyl collections in the country, this place is also a hidden gem among photographers due to its rustic charm that is unfazed by the fast-paced city life. The owners Mr and Mrs Ong are also some of the sweetest and most passionate people we’ve ever met, who happily allowed us to take as many photos as we wanted. ❤️

[NEW][Restaurant Series][ ]
SINGAPORE’S FIRST-EVER CULINARY “CIRCULAR CAMPUS” IN DEMPSEY HILL! 🌴

𝗔𝗜𝗥 has to be one of the biggest openings in Singapore for the year, with a restaurant that is helmed by Amass’ chef-owner Matthew Orlando and the World’s Best Pastry Chef Will Goldfarb. This restaurant is also by far the closest to Bali we can ever be in Singapore. With the co-founder of running the space, we can clearly see where it got its inspiration from, both in design and menu aspects. 🌊

When we arrived, we were stunned just by the size alone - since when did we have this much land for such a large-scale project? The huge space is not just for show; AIR is designed to be the country’s first culinary “circular campus” with its own research facility, cooking studio for masterclasses, and even a vegetable farm managed by . 🌱

They’re currently open for dinner service only, with a focus on sustainability. The meal started out with the 𝗪𝗵𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗙𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝗖𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗵𝗲 and the 𝗙𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗖𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗮𝘃𝗮 𝗙𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗯𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱, both of which truly nailed the brief, leaving us excited for what’s to come. 👏🏻

We decided on the 𝗪𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗽𝗲𝗿 which is portioned out for two, using literally the entire fish with minimal wastage. The bones were grounded into a crispy lavash, while the flesh from the head was painstakingly extracted and smoked into a fish rillette. Of course there’s also the fillet basted in what we think is the best butter sauce we ever had! 🧈

THIS CAFÉ IN BANGKOK HAS UNIQUE BIRD NEST-SHAPED SEATS! 🪹

Located in Bang Waek district which is on the outskirts of Bangkok, 𝗦𝗮𝗻 𝗥𝗮𝗳𝗮𝗲𝗹 is a café that has some of the most unique interior design we’ve seen in a coffeehouse. 🌲

Inspired by the woodlands in America, this café is built using wooden carvings with suspended booth seats on the second floor. But it isn’t any ordinary seat; it’s shaped to look like a bird’s nest atop the canopy, supported by a single wooden column. If you don’t have a paralysing fear of heights, this seat serves as a great vantage point while enjoying your meal. 🦅

They specialise in bakes, with choices like 𝗖𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗼𝗻 𝗥𝗼𝗹𝗹 𝗖𝗿𝗼𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗻𝘁 and the 𝗦𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝗕𝗮𝗰𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗲𝘀𝗲 𝗖𝗿𝗼𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗻𝘁. There’s even a dessert that looks like an apple, called 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗲 (duh). There’s also a 𝗦𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗣𝗼𝗽𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗻 𝗙𝗿𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲 which caught our attention, but tasted just like an ordinary caramel frappe. Everything is pretty decent, but rather expensive considering Thailand’s standards. But after seeing the space, it’s no surprise that their offerings would come with a hefty pricetag. 👏🏻

WE VISITED THE VIRAL FLOWER GARDEN IN CHIANG MAI! 🌸

You might have seen a couple of viral videos on Instagram of a flower farm in Thailand surrounded by thick cloud beds! We found where that farm is, so you don’t have to. 😉

Up in the mountains in Chiang Mai, this flower farm is called 𝗬𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗬𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗙𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗚𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗻 and it’s one of the most beautiful places on Earth. It can be a little tough to get to this place, as the road is really steep. There’s a small admission fee upon arrival of around ฿40.

The best time to come to the flower garden is during the rainy season in late October. This is when the clouds are dense and will form a cloud bed up in the mountains for that dreamy look! ☁️

[NEW][Cafe Series][ ]
RALPH’S COFFEE OPENS SECOND OUTLET IN SHAW CENTRE! 🏇🏻

Following the successful opening of their first outlet in Marina Bay Sands, 𝗥𝗮𝗹𝗽𝗵’𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗲 has opened another outlet in their shop at Shaw Centre. Following the same concept, the cafe is painted in the signature shade of green with a retro European-style and the iconic teddy bear mascot. The space is also linked with the actual retail store as well as an entrance from the outside. 👕

For a coffee shop opened by a retail brand, it’s pretty impressive for them to put in so much effort into the entire concept, with their own unique coffee blends and bakes. We got the 𝗣𝗲𝗮𝗻𝘂𝘁 𝗕𝘂𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗝𝗮𝗺 𝗖𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗲 which is a little too crumbly, but has a really nice sweetness. The 𝗟𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲 was surprisingly decent, with a good body and balanced taste. Only issue we have with the whole menu is that everything is crazy expensive, with a slice of their chocolate cake being $14. You can get a main dish for that price in some other cafes. 🍰

THIS BOUTIQUE HOTEL HAS THE BEST MOUNTAIN VIEW IN THAILAND! 🏔

When we were driving up north from Chiang Mai to Chiang Rai, we decided to do a stopover in this viral boutique hotel we found online. 𝗠𝗼𝗯𝘂 has some of the best hotel views we’ve ever seen, overlooking the mountain valley in Doi Chang. 🥰

The room comes with a balcony that has our own whirlpool bath pool and daybed, where everybody would take their photos at with the most picturesque background. The room even comes fitted with your own bathtub and dining table, so there’s more than enough space for comfort. Although it can get pretty cold at night, the rooms are still air-conditioned. 🌘

A night here will set you back by around ฿8,500, which is worth the price especially with a view like this. The only downside to this place is how secluded it is, but they have got their own restaurant for meals and minimart. For dinner, you can choose between a mookata or hotpot set meal. 🍽
