My boss asked me to take a break on World Mental Wellness Day, so that’s what I did. Am I wrong? 🤷‍♀️

SAVE THIS‼️ This entire mall in Osaka is dedicated for mens-only retail shops! 🙆🏼‍♂️

In Japan, it’s not just the ladies who are shopaholics, even their men are huge fans of fashion. That’s why they have shopping malls that are dedicated to just selling mens stuff. Trust me, if you open something like that in Singapore, it will close down so quickly, because all we care about is UNIQLO. 😒

This is , part of the Hankyu Departmental Store group. You might think that a mall for guys isn’t gonna be very big, but that’s where you’re wrong — this place is six storeys high, all filled with retail shops and wellness centres that are catered for only men. The floors are split according to their category, such as denim goods, luxury brands, and formal businesswear. 🧢

I never knew luxury brands have such an extensive collection for men until we came to this mall. There’s all the top brands like Prada, Gucci, Chanel, Balenciaga, Louis Vuitton etc. And on top of that, they also have some underground streetwear brands that carry rare goods that are worth a visit.

For the ladies, don’t worry, the regular Hankyu mall is just across the road for their Umeda outlet. So now, you don’t have to stress about depositing your partner at the boyfriend corner, when you can get him to do some fruitful shopping too. 😉

SAVE THIS‼️ One of our best meals in Tokyo is this grilled fish omakase restaurant in Roppongi! 🔥

When people think about good 𝘰𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘢𝘴𝘦 restaurants, they would often think of raw sashimi and sushi. However, one of our favourite omakase restaurants in Tokyo is this one that specialises in grilled fish called .ishikawa_official. ✨

We had the 9-course 𝘚𝘢𝘪𝘬𝘺𝘰 menu for ¥19,000 per person (~S$161). Thought it was doable, until they brought out a whole assortment of seafood that’s counted as only one course. One of the best dishes has to be the Three-Colour Donburi - a rice bowl that’s loaded with uni, ikura and finished off with a fatty slab of grilled tuna. The combination of all three ingredients really elevated a simple rice dish. 🐟

Honestly, we tried so many new types of fish over here as compared to sushi restaurants, like pufferfish. The grilled version is a lot crunchier than I thought, and they have the fried version that’s like fried chicken. 🍗

Some of our favourites are the solefish that’s so good, it claimed our souls. And there’s the grilled sea perch which is super buttery. But our top choice is definitely the fatty tuna with shoyu and raw yolk - 𝘴𝘶𝘬𝘪𝘺𝘢𝘬𝘪 style. The yolk adds an incredible creaminess to the richness of the tuna, it’s soo good we only wished there’s more. You guys definitely have to visit this place the next time you’re in Tokyo! 💕

SAVE THIS‼️ The best bar in Malaysia has just opened a new speakeasy concept inside a bank vault! 🏦

Ranked No. 10 on Asia’s , .kl is no stranger in the industry, being a much sought-after destination hotspot for drink enthusiasts around the world. Since their successful run, they had decided it’s time for them to make a bold move by expanding out into their second venture — .kl. 🤩

Occupying a space inside a bank vault from the historic Oriental Bank, this new bar is inspired by the ever-changing terrains of dunes, like an explorer in the dessert searching for his oasis. The lighting is specially designed to mimic a sunset hue, with a reflective monolith right in the middle, making us anticipate what ‘treasures’ lie within this vault. 💴

Despite bearing the same meaning as ‘lavender’ in Turkish, it has no link to that whatsoever. The name just popped up inside the dream of founder Jon Lee. He didn’t know what it meant back then, but just thought there was some mythical in this word which led to him concocting a signature drink that bears the same name. 🍸

The drinks are split into four different categories — tall, sharp, forward, and savoury. There’s a good mix of sweet and funky flavours, so you’ll never get bored trying all of them out. We personally like their signature Lavantha, as it has this berry-licious refreshing taste to it, that’s not too heavy on the palette. Each drink here goes for a hefty price of RM65++ (~S$21), which isn’t very wallet-friendly, but it’s definitely a good alternative to their sister concept, especially since it’s always so difficult to get a seat over there. 😂

SAVE THIS‼️ opens their first-ever overseas flagship store in Tokyo! 🔵

When it comes to fashion, the Koreans never miss. Some of our favourite fashion labels come from Korea, and that includes ADERERROR, a Korean luxury streetwear brand. Their concept stores in Seoul are known to have over-the-top design elements, inspired by extraterrestrial visuals. 🪐

Earlier in August, they made their first step abroad, opening their first overseas flagship store in Tokyo. Located just 10 minutes away from Harajuku station, ADERERROR Tokyo Space is a two-storey retail space, with a concept design of ‘continuum’, representing a multidimensional ecosystem where small lifeforms and plants intertwine. In simpler words, it looks like a magical garden from outer space. 🐞

The first storey holds more of their newer collection, as well as country-exclusive merchandise. The second is more of their stapes, from the brand’s 𝘚𝘪𝘨𝘯𝘪𝘧𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘯𝘵 and 𝘌𝘴𝘴𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦 and line. What I really love about their designs is how they manage to balance edginess and subtle luxury, making the look stand out without it being too obnoxiously loud. Most of their clothes are priced around ¥19,900 (~S$175) which is definitely not that affordable, but the designs are definitely worth the price tag. 🧢

ADERERROR Tokyo Space
📍 4 Chome-25-24 Jingumae, Shibuya, Tokyo 150-0001, Japan
🕙 Open daily, 11am to 9pm

SAVE THIS‼️ .world has just kickstarted their new Vendemmia season menu! 🍄‍🟫

The last time we visited Somma, we were left impressed with everything — the food, the service, the ambience. So when we heard they have just launched their new menu, we knew we had to go back for another meal! ☺️

This menu is all about celebrating the season of 𝘷𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘮𝘮𝘪𝘢, which is the season of harvest. Their core ingredient this time is mushrooms, working together with to use cultivated native mushrooms, like Old Man Mushrooms from Woodlands for a broth, like wdym I can get mushrooms that taste THIS GOOD from our motherland?! 🤯

But that’s not all, there’s also the bread course, but instead of butter, they have this umami-rich EVOO sauce. Every dish was so elaborately well done, they didn’t just focus on the food alone, but also the presentation. The second course comprises of three small bites, but all served on ‘diningware’ that is made purely from mushrooms. 😅

I’m just glad they brought back the Milk-fed Lamb; the last time I had that, I remember being completely speechless at how good it is. It doesn’t have such an intense meaty taste this time, but the creaminess from the squid ink sauce really gives it an extra zing! I still can’t believe they didn’t get a Michelin star, like seriously, how is that even possible?! 🐑

Right at the core of this restaurant isn’t just about the food and decor, but also the level of service. Rather than the formal and disciplined setting in most fine dining establishments, they went for a warm approach that felt like we were dining in someone’s family home. So if you’re all about good food and good vibes, you’ve got to check this place out! ✨

SAVE THIS‼️ Here’s where you can get 𝘰𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘢𝘴𝘦-standard handrolls for less than $4 a piece! 🍱

If you’re a fan of omakase-standard sushi, you’ll definitely love this! is a new spot in Telok Ayer that serves “𝘰𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘢𝘴𝘦-standard” handrolls for the low, low price of only $3.50! ✨

Why 𝘰𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘢𝘴𝘦-standard, you ask? Their handrolls are made in a similar way to how 𝘰𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘢𝘴𝘦 restaurants do it — they don’t fully wrap their rolls, topping it off with premium ingredients like 𝘨𝘪𝘯𝘥𝘢𝘳𝘢 (black cod) and 𝘩𝘰𝘵𝘢𝘵𝘦 (scallops), using a special rice that’s made with 𝘈𝘬𝘢𝘻𝘶 red vinegar and 𝘬𝘰𝘮𝘣𝘶 for that richer taste. 🍣

So each roll is actually around $5.50, but the more you get, the more affordable it becomes. If you get a set of 5, it’s only $17.90; do the math and it’s just $3.58 per roll, which is super worth it! 🤩

They’ve got 12 different flavours to choose from, all of them with their unique combination of ingredients. Some of my favourites are the Spicy Salmon which has this 𝘔𝘢𝘓𝘢 taste, and the Hotate with Uni Paste, although the uni wasn’t really present. Nat loves the Smoked Hamachi, which is her all-time favourite fish to have; the flavours really stood out. We loved almost everything, except for the Snow Crab & Negitoro, which is too funky for us because of the 𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘰 𝘬𝘰𝘫𝘪 that they use.🐟

We came during weekday lunch, so it’s super crowded especially with all the offices nearby. But here’s a tip: if you don’t want to wait, make sure to pre-order online, as they might close their orders if they get too swamped.

Saw viral videos of these screens all over our Tiktok at some point, and always wondered how realistic can it be. Ngl came out with motion sickness afterwards 🙃

It’s crazy how advanced China is when it comes to technology, and this is just a small part of all the things we’re impressed by this country.

SAVE THIS‼️ This insane photoshoot in Chongqing makes us abseil down 20 storeys into a cave! ⛰️

One of the best activities you can do in Chongqing is their photoshoots. The Chinese really take their 打卡 game very seriously, with photoshoots like the viral motorbike pillon, and the iconic 𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘧𝘶 costume in 洪崖洞. But not many tourists know about this photoshoot that literally takes you down 20 storeys, through a hole in the sky, in the middle of nowhere! 😱

It’s at a place called 天眼洞, which translates to ‘God’s Eye’, and just one look at this place, you’ll know why they named it as such. The cave ceiling has been naturally hollowed out, and there’s this huge Buddha statue sitting right behind the hole. There’s not much information online about how the Buddha statue came about, but I bet the lore runs deep here. 🙏

We arranged for a private photoshoot with a guy on 小红书 for around RMB 1,200 for the both of us. This includes entrance to the site, the photographer services, and round-trip transfers. The location is about 2 hours away by car, and honestly, the entire journey was pretty uncomfortable, but trust the process.

When we arrived, they took us up the mountain where we have to abseil down this hole that’s 60m high. The experience is definitely thrilling and not for those who have a chronic fear of heights. What most people don’t know about is that there’s also an option to add on this 200m skywalk experience. Since we were already there, why not right? Turns out, this skywalk was way more intense than the abseiling itself, because we had to literally cross over tightropes that are flimsy as heck. ☠️

So yeah, this is definitely an experience! The photos turned out to be pretty sick too. If you guys want photos that are not the typical basic ones that everyone have in Chongqing, do check this place out!

SAVE THIS‼️ This has to be the CRAZIEST theme park in the whole of China, PART TWO! 🤯

We recently posted a video about this crazy theme park we found in Shanghai called千古情, and although we already covered most of the crazy stuff you can find over there — believe it or not, we’re not even HALF DONE! 😂

So apparently, the reason why most people come here is to catch their theatre show. It showcases four different shows, each highlighting a different era in China across a thousand years. Honestly, we weren’t expecting much from this, but we ended up being completely MINDBLOWN! The visual effects were stunning, especially the stage. We have never seen a stage that can transform into a manmade river in a matter of seconds. This show really showed us how much of an overachiever Chinese people are. 👏

Just like their park, there’s just so many things going on here. They have got aerial acrobatics that are on par with the world-famous circus acts, action scenes that are better than movies, perfectly synchronised dancing — the possibilities here are endless!

The ticket starts from S$50 for a regular adult admission that includes both the show and the theme park, but we recommend booking the VIP seats for just an additional S$7. The seats are so much better as you get to be near the stage and right beside the “secret stage” which only reveals during particular scenes for the cast to run through the crowd.
