The Cure are giving fans a massive gift this year with the release of The Cure: The Show Of A Lost World, a fully remixed, recut, and 4K-remastered concert film capturing the night they debuted their Grammy-nominated album Songs Of A Lost World live at London’s Troxy. Performed once, and once only, in front of 3,000 fans, the show featured the entire album played front to back, plus a special five-song set celebrating 45 years of Seventeen Seconds.

Directed by Grammy-nominated Nick Wickham with a new sound mix by Robert Smith, the film includes all 31 songs performed that night and will screen in cinemas across the globe before landing on Blu-ray and DVD in late December 2025. Tickets are on sale now at thecurelostworld.com.

Formed in 1978, The Cure remain one of the most influential UK bands of all time, with over 30 million albums sold, four Glastonbury headline appearances, and a 2019 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction. With new shows coming in 2026 and this rare cinematic release, the band continues to prove their impact is as strong as ever.

Rock fans got a fun surprise on Nick Perri’s Instagram story when Luke Spiller of The Struts, who is currently out on a solo tour with Nick, tried his very first Wawa Gobbler. Nick, a proud Philly area native, was excited to see Luke experience the full seasonal classic — turkey, stuffing, cranberry, and gravy stacked into one perfect sandwich.

Luke’s reaction was priceless, instantly winning him over to the Gobbler faithful and giving fans a great behind-the-scenes look at life on the road. It’s the kind of simple, hilarious moment that makes touring memories even better and shows just how much fun these two are having out there.

Tom Morello says that Audioslave left behind “probably like an album’s worth of great songs that were not released.” The band, which featured Morello, Chris Cornell, Tim Commerford, and Brad Wilk, recorded extra tracks during each of their three studio albums from 2001-2007 — songs that simply didn’t make the final cut.

Morello explained that the reasons behind the shelving were more about timing and internal choices rather than the quality of the material, and he remains hopeful the music will eventually see the light of day.

Fans of the band now have even more reason to keep watching the vault, hoping for an official release of this hidden chapter in Audioslave’s legacy.

In a wild twist of music history, Ozzy Osbourne and Madonna actually recorded a duet on the song “Shake Your Head” by Was (Not Was) back in 1983, a version that was shelved when Madonna declined to release her vocals.

Osbourne laid down vocals for the track, and Madonna also recorded but the version was ultimately swapped out for actor-model Kim Basinger in the commercial 1992 release.

Today the nearly lost collaboration has resurfaced, giving fans a rare glimpse into an alternate rock-pop crossover that never made it officially.

The story highlights how many hidden corners of recording history live beneath what we hear every day.

Slipknot have officially sold a majority stake in their music catalog to HarbourView Equity Partners, in a deal reported to be around $120 million. The agreement covers both publishing and recorded royalties and comes after decades of building one of metal’s most powerful legacies.

Percussionist M. Shawn “Clown” Crahan described the partnership by saying: “After 25 years of taking on the music business, we find ourselves with a partner that is willing to sign onto continuing what Slipknot started. Only they want to go even bigger. Get ready.”

HarbourView echoed the sentiment, calling Slipknot’s catalog “a testament to their influence, passion, and enduring artistry within the genre.”

For fans and industry watchers alike, the deal signals a major shift, not just a financial move, but a moment of legacy preservation, where one of metal’s most disruptive acts secures their past while potentially unlocking the next phase of their story.
