Prayers up.

Asha Degree has been missing for 24 years. Her story has been on my heart and mind since the very first time heard about it in 2000.

20 years later I produced a show in which I walked the path it was said that she walked the night she disappeared. Very scary for anyone, especially a child…so many questions, very few answers.

As there are breaks in the case, let’s await the TRUTH. Still praying for Asha and her family.

My God!!! Enough is ENOUGH already. Truly, how many more kids have to die? How many more parents and families have to suffer??? This is insane; however, NOT the last of it. FOUR years ago I produced a show addressing this very issue. This year alone, there have already been 27 school shootings. Absolutely heartbreaking. When I shot this intro, I walked into a Charlotte, NC school that my child did NOT attend just to see if I could. I DID, and it was easy. Students let me in. I walked past school leadership who not only didn’t question me but said hello. As I left, walked past the front office, and the security desk which was unattended.

In various conversations, I suggested that every person should go to through metal detectors before entering schools. Before I moved to NC I went to school in NYC and that’s what we did. There were metal detectors in my HS. When I shared this people were shocked. “OMG!!! Children shouldn’t have to go through that.” really? I guess you’d rather them goes through this. What can we do to minimize if not prevent school shootings??? This is crazy.

God bless all of the students, families, and communities affected by gun violence…especially at school. ♥️🙏🏾♥️
