NUJ appoints GM Brinkle FM as National Trustee

By GARBA MUHAMMAD, Kaduna

The National Executive Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), has appointed A A Garba Danjarida, General Manager , Brinkle FM, Zuru as National Trustee of the Union.

The appointment was announced by the National President of the Union, Chief Chris Isiguzo at its NEC meeting on Monday in Birnin Kebbi.

While congratulating Garba and other appointees , the President said part of the responsibilities of the National Trustee is to oversee all the properties and finacial accounts of State Councils under his zone.

He was the former Chairman of Kaduna Council , Zone 'A' North West and the immediate past National ex-officio of the union.

The leadership of the NUJ, Zone 'A' led by the Vice President, Comrade Muhammad Tukur Umar registered its profound appreciation and gratitude to the National Secretariat for the appointment of two members from the Zone, Garba of Kaduna Council and Ibrahim Shu'aibu of Kano Council as Trustee and Senior Special Assistant respectively.

The VP in a statement issued immediately by Abdulrazak Bello Kaura

Secretary of the zone said : "We are indeed honoured by these appointments which we are optimistic that, it will contribute in taking the union to a Greater Heights.

"On behalf of the entire members in the Zone 'A' we say a Very big thank you to Mr. President for finding them worthy to serve in the capacities."
