A neighbor on death’s door. A small town where people still say hello. Friends in a barn attic, making music late into the night. These are the real-life stories behind ‘Slow Cooker,’ the new album from Say ZuZu co-founder Jon Nolan, out September 19, 2025 via Strolling Bones Records!

Recorded mostly live in the upstairs room of Newmarket, NH’s Stone Church, it began as a casual project among old friends and grew into something deeper - an ode to slowing down, paying attention, and making music together. AthFest 2025 is one for the books! From July 20 to 22, artists brought the community together with unforgettable performances, including ones from our very own: Elijah Johnston, Ben Hackett and Jon Nolan. A former protégé of Junior Kimbrough and longtime collaborator with Cedric Burnside and the North Mississippi Allstars, Garry finally steps into the spotlight with raw guitar, soulful vocals, and deep Southern grooves. Recorded at Royal Studios with GRAMMY winner Boo Mitchell, this Blues-Rock-Funk powerhouse is Garry’s tribute to his roots and rise.

First up: Kent Burnside, grandson of Hill Country Blues legend R.L. Burnside, brings his own raw, soulful blend of Hill Country, Delta, Chicago Blues, and Blues-Rock on his new album Hill Country Blood. Produced by GRAMMY winner Boo Mitchell, it features 8 originals plus covers of John Lee Ho**er and Junior Kimbrough.

Here's a behind-the-scenes look at Deadwood Guitars Company. The former carpenter, Jason Booth, inspired bandmates Rick, Michael, and Greg to add a custom guitar to their respective arsenals. “Initially, I formed a bond with Rick, Michael, and Greg over music, and I love their style,” adds Jason. When they came together, it just sounded so good. They’ve been huge supporters of Deadwood, and they’ve done a lot for me. They’re incredible players with an appreciation for the beauty of raw acoustic music.”
