💭 What’s the last book you read without knowing anything about it?
If you love to read, write, or reviewing books—you should read this.
Book Review: Book Lovers
Rating: ★★★★★
This is my first EmHen book and I understand the hype!
I didn’t expect this book to hit me so hard. I’d heard a lot of positive reviews about the author, but this is the first time I finally decided to pick it up and read it.
WOW. It moved me—carving out its own space in my mind. And it’s a headspace I’m glad to dedicate a lot of room to.
After reading *Book Lovers*, so many thoughts have surfaced. Do I really want to be a writer? Or maybe I’m better suited as an editor—but that’s a discussion for another time.
In line with the book, I love the life within it. Of the lives of the main characters and how they fill in each other’s gaps. It’s not an “opposites attract” kind of love for them, because somehow, they mirror each other. It’s a matter of perspective that makes them perfect together—like two sides of the same coin, seeing the world from different angles.
Girl sees her faults and Boy sees the beauty in said faults and he’s like “You’re a shark? So what?”
With Emily Henry, it’s so crazy how on point she was. It’s like she’s the shark—Like she knows how to drag the readers with all the right tropes but in a way that she thought all the aspects through and blend them into harmony. Like she just didn’t thrown in the small town, (site other tropes in the novel).
Also I did not expect the humor. It was cute and funny—cutesy.
