Rainy days are now upon us and I am still hung up on June! I don’t think have moved on yet. I am still in the process of recovering from all those events. (cue song: I’m tired but I’m happy)

In celebration and as a way to thank my followers, I held my second giveaway last month with a special edition of One for my Enemy + a candle I personally made. Last minutes, I decided to add another winner for a fullybooked gift card.

As for my birthday , I spent the day with my books! That was my birthday wish—to be at peace and enjoy the quiet as I focus and read my book. And then celebrated with my fam the next day.

Hark and Maya is a very cute couple! I love their chemistry!

While I love how their love story began, I was a little thrown off by the back and forth of the story. But still I marvel at the “present” problematic situation of our main couple where they try to fight off/ face their feelings for each other—I wish there’s moreeee. Despite the whole getting back together feeling short and a little overshadowed by the wedding event of another power couple, those precious moments were enough to keep me excited and on edge.

Will they or won’t they?

The age gap is a glaring factor. It’s questionable indeed, especially in a society where people are shackled by the expectations and opinions of majority. At some point, I want to strangle Hark but also admire him for his beliefs, values, and his dedication.

What mattered the most were their intent: Hark’s and Maya’s. It’s all for love.

Overall, Problematic Summer Romance is perfect for an in between read!

Half of the year is done! I didn’t accomplish much reading last June because it was filled with lots of activities, plans, and celebrations. So much so that the busy schedule bled out into the first week of July. Nonetheless, I enjoyed the books I have read:

From previous months, I was able to catch up with my readings through audiobook but I was really occupied last June that I did not have enough headspace.
