It's 30 years since we released Sirius Sounds by Children of the B**g and to celebrate that momentous anniversary, both of the original band members Rob Henry and Dan Goganian have re-connected to create a very rare LIVE performance of Sirius Sounds which they'll be playing in its entirety at Rich Mix in London on November 8th. Teaming up with former label mate Toby Marks AKA Banco de Gaia who'll also be performing live as co-headliner and with Michael Dog playing a retrospective selection of Planet Dog rarities (literally for the first time ever!) in between the live performances, this promises to be a fantastic evening. Tickets are available here: https://www.seetickets.com/event/children-of-the-bong/rich-mix/3232616 and we look forward to seeing you on the night.

Only 12 days till our 3 x CD re-master of Future Loop Foundation's Planet Dog releases finds it's way into a record shop not far from where you're reading this. Advance copies appeared at Planet Dog HQ over the weekend and as with the previous five albums we've released in conjunction with Cherry Red Records, it's a sumptious package. So it seemed only appropriate that we share a taster of what's included in this release. Future Loop Foundation The Planet Dog Years 1996-98 includes remastered versions of 'Time and Bass' and 'Conditions for Living', Future Loop Foundation's first two album releases, along with all of the FLF singles and remixes and a handful of previously unreleased bonus tracks. As with all of our previous releases, there's a 20 page booklet featuring sleeve notes by Kris Needs, this time telling the final chapter of the Planet Dog story with a deep dive into how FLF's Mark Barrott came to work with a record label based somewhere not far from Sirius's back left leg. If all this tickles your fancy, you can pre-order the album here: https://www.cherryred.co.uk/future-loop-foundation-the-planet-dog-years-1996-1998-3cd

Greetings Earthlings
It’s been quite a long time since the last transmission from Planet Dog. But we haven’t completely gone to seed! Behind the scenes we’ve been working away to put together the final chapter in our series of re-issues of the artist albums originally released on Planet Dog in the 1990’s.
So finally, after a lot of delays and false starts, we’re pleased to announce the imminent release of our sixth re-issue album: Future Loop Foundation, The Planet Dog Years 1996-1998.
Mark Barrott AKA Future Loop Foundation, was the last artist to join the label back in 1996. He came armed with a virtually complete debut album of atmospheric drum n’bass tracks which was released to great acclaim in the same year as ‘Time and Bass’.
Over the next couple of years, Mark carved out a highly respected niche for himself as one of the few drum n’bass artists of the era to play live and as a producer of drum n’bass-influenced tracks squarely aimed at the listener rather than club DJ’s. This period culminated in the release of his 1998 album ‘Conditions for Living’.
After the label’s demise in 1999, Mark went on to release a string of solo albums initially as Future Loop Foundation and then under his own name, continuing to the present day as a highly respected producer of downtempo electronica.
Our forthcoming triple CD album includes remastered versions of Mark’s first two albums alongside all of the tracks and remixes that were released as singles in between, a previously unreleased live track and a couple of previously unreleased out-takes from the Time and Bass recording sessions. As with all of our previous re-issues, the package comes with a twenty page full colour booklet featuring extensive biographical sleeve notes by the eminent music journalist Kris Needs.
Future Loop Foundation, The Planet Dog Years 1996-1998 is released by our friends Cherry Red Records on February 28th and is available for pre-order via their website at https://www.cherryred.co.uk/future-loop-foundation-the-planet-dog-years-1996-1998-3cd

The third album in our series of remastered editions of Eat Static’s early releases on Planet Dog is in production and scheduled for release on MAY 19th. This FOUR CD mega-package features all of the band’s releases between 1997 and 1998 and is headlined by their third studio album: Science of the Gods. This album saw Merv, Joie and Steve start to work breakbeats and drum n’bass into their musical armoury whilst retaining the synth wizardry and spaced-out mayhem that made their sound so unique. It’s followed up by their final Planet Dog release, the excellent live album B World which was recorded at various gigs over the autumn and winter of 1997/98 and so perfectly captures the intensity and sonic depth of their spectacular live shows of the time. CD’s 3 and 4 feature the band’s last three Planet Dog EP’s: Hybrid, Interceptor and Contact, reissued for the first time since their original release complete with all of the remixes that came with the original EP packages. These include amongst others, PFM’s sublime drum n’bass remix of Hybrid, Infinity Project’s fluro Goa remix of the same track and De Niro’s hardtrance-tastic remix of Contact. The release includes a 28 page full colour booklet with extensive sleeve notes by Kris Needs that record those final couple of years of the band’s journey before they moved on to form their own label. The booklet is illustrated throughout with mostly un-published photographs and ephemera drawn from Merv’s own collection. The album is available for pre-order from Cherry Red by clicking the link below and will be available for over the counter consumption as well as online from all good musical pharmacists from May 19th.

• Expanded 4-CD edition from the Megadog-related imprint: Planet Dog Records. • Featuring releases dating from 1997-98 by trance pioneers Eat Static.

Greetings humanoids. Just a quick heads up from the arse end of Sirius to let you know that after a delicate and complex winter conception, this little baby is currently in the process of replication and is scheduled for rebirth in a remastered quadruple CD format at some point in the month known as May. More news here, as it comes.

Released in 1993, Feed Your Head was Planet Dog’s first compilation album and featured a selection of downtempo tunes by artists connected to Club Dog and Megadog. It was sequenced with most of the tracks crossfading into one another to provide a non-stop start to finish audio experience, the sleeve notes encouraging the listener to just ‘sit back and glisten’! Almost all CD versions of the album were manufactured by a company whose compact discs became synonymous with a longterm problem known as ‘CD rot’. Over time this rendered almost every CD they manufactured in the early 90’s partially or completely unplayable due to the playing surface literally flaking off the plastic disc. Most CD copies of the first Feed Your Head album suffer from this problem and can now no longer be played right through from start to finish without glitching. We’ve uploaded this copy taken from a pristine (and CD rot-free) Japanese pressing of the album so that people can glisten once again any time they feel like doing so.

Released in 1993, this was Planet Dog’s first compilation album and the first volume of four in the Feed Your Head compilation series. The album was original...
