Today is Bereaved Parents Day.

There are no words that can truly ease the pain for those in our community who are part of the worst club ever parents who have lost a child.

But here’s the hope: you are not alone.
God sees you. This community stands with you.

If you’re wondering how to help a grieving parent, here are a few tangible ways to show the love of Christ:

• Bring a meal
• Hold space to hear their story
• Help clean their home
• Offer to pick up older children if needed

Romans 12:15 says, “Mourn with those who mourn.” Let’s do just that with compassion, love, and presence.

Drop a 🫶🏻 in the comments to show support and remind grieving parents that they are seen and loved.

June is PTSD Awareness Month

Did you know that perinatal trauma survivors can develop PTSD?

I didn’t…
Until I lived it.

Even your medical team can develop PTSD symptoms!

PTSD after childbirth or pregnancy loss is more common than we think—but so often misunderstood or missed entirely.

Here are some symptoms to look out for:
• Flashbacks or reliving the trauma
• Nightmares or trouble sleeping
• Feeling isolated or emotionally numb
• Loss of interest in things you once loved
• Angry outbursts or intense emotional reactions
• Anxiety, guilt, or overwhelming sadness
• Difficulty concentrating
• Physical pain (like headaches or stomach aches)
• Avoiding reminders of the trauma
• Trouble remembering details of what happened
• Negative thoughts about yourself, others, or the world
• Easily startled or on edge

If any of these sound familiar, you are not alone.

Psalm 34:18 says, “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”

Our Trauma Tribe is a safe space for healing, support, and prayer. We meet on the second Tuesday of every month at 7 PM. You don’t have to walk this road alone. If you’d like to join email me at [email protected].

I’m stepping away from social media for a bit to rest and reset.

God’s Word reminds us how vital rhythms of rest are:
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28

I’ve just started another round of neuro physical therapy, and it’s the perfect time to pause and focus.

Please keep me in your prayers:
—for strength and endurance (rehab can be exhausting)
—for patience as Jehovah Rapha continues healing my body
—that this would be wonderful family time

Thank you for your love, encouragement, and support. I plan to be back in June!

(This also means no this month.)
