FELONY THEFT
The Bullhead City Police Department is seeking the public's assistance in identifying the person(s) responsible for the theft of items from the Arizona Veteran's Memorial inside of Veteran's Memorial Park located at 2170 Dustin Burnett Way in Bullhead City.

On June 30, 2025 at 7:39 a.m., a park employee discovered that four bronze plaques bearing the names of honorees, a bronze plaque that honored Vietnam Veterans, and a four-legged soldier bronze name plaque had all been removed from the memorial and stolen. Also stolen was a copper backflow preventer near the memorial. The total value of the items stolen is estimated to be in excess of $11,000. The investigation into the theft is ongoing.

‼️UPDATE‼️ Search and Rescue operations have concluded.

Today, the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department will carry out search operations in the vicinity of Copper Canyon on Lake Havasu. Boats traveling north or south are requested to follow the Arizona shoreline and observe lake speed limits until they exit the search area. Thank you!

OFFICER INVOLVED SHOOTING- KINGMAN

On Friday (5/9) at approximately 1:57 PM, Mohave County Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to a disturbance in the 4700 block of Ty St. in Kingman. It was reported that a male subject was pouring gasoline inside the residence and was armed. Once on scene, the suspect refused to exit the residence. SWAT was activated and responded to the scene.

Over the course of the incident, the suspect refused directives to exit the residence. When he finally emerged, he pointed a weapon at SWAT members from MCSO and Bullhead City Police Department. SWAT members fired their weapon, striking the suspect. The suspect was detained and transported to Kingman Regional Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries.

The investigation into the Officer Involved Shooting is being conducted by the Lake Havasu City Police Department. The officers involved have been placed on paid administrative leave.

On April 8, 2024, at 7:30 p.m., Bullhead City Police Department MAGNET (Mohave Area General Narcotic Enforcement Team) Detectives served a narcotics search warrant on the 800 block of Turney Dr. Detectives had information that Sabrina Maree Johnson, 28, was selling drugs out of the home.

During the search, detectives located approximately 35 grams of powder fentanyl, approximately 37.7 grams (about 350 pills) of blue M-30 counterfeit fentanyl pills, 0.6 grams of methamphetamine, multiple drug paraphernalia items and a Hi-Point 9mm handgun.

Sabrina Johnson was arrested for two counts of possession of narcotic drugs for sale. She was booked into the Mohave County Jail in Kingman.

MOHAVE SILENT WITNESS OFFERS REWARD OF $1,500

Mohave Silent Witness has offered a reward of $1,500 for information leading to the arrest of Michael Edward Kelso (31 of Bullhead City), who has been identified as a suspect in a homicide that occurred in Mohave Valley on March 29, 2024. At approximately 11:55 PM, Deputies responded to a property in the 10000 block of S. Tropics Rd. Once on scene, Deputies located the victim, identified as Matthew Brant Cemper (33 of Mohave Valley), deceased on the property.

At this time, we are reaching out to the community to assist us in locating Michael Kelso. Kelso should be considered armed and dangerous.
