Good ol’ chicken rice + tasty chilli = comfort food done right! 🍗🍚🌶️😋

We recently discovered Hill Street Chicken Rice 禧街鸡饭 , newly opened at Peninsula Shopping Complex — feels like a little hidden gem in the City Hall area that hasn’t been discovered by many yet!

The chicken is fresh, tender and juicy, with fragrant chicken rice that’s nicely seasoned and full of flavour. Pair it with their chilli + ginger and it’s just so good! 🤤

Here’s some of the dishes we tried:
🍗 Poached Chicken – tender and juicy
🍗 Roasted Chicken – nicely roasted with flavourful skin
🥢 Mixed Organ
🍲 Braised Plate
🥬 Oyster Sauce Shanghai Green
🌱 Oyster Sauce Bean Sprouts

And if you like something a little more exciting, their Salted Egg Fried Chicken is worth trying too! The chicken is crispy, flavourful and not dry, coated in a savoury salted egg sauce. They also have Lemon Chicken and Wasabi Chicken if you prefer something different.

Prices are pretty reasonable too, especially for the City Hall area!

The family had such a fun time catching the Mr Popsicle Magic Show over the weekends at Institute Illusions SG ! 🎩✨

It’s Singapore’s first premier magic school where kids can learn about magic and build up their confidence while performing and connecting on a dedicated stage. 💫

There’s different shows and programmes happening every month, so if your little ones love magic, this is definitely one to check out! 🪄

Hair care… but let’s talk about it from within 🌿💚
I usually think of hair care as shampoo, hair masks and treatments, but I’ve been learning that what we do from within helps too!

Got introduced to the Saw Palmetto Herbal Supplement from Body Inc., an oral herbal supplement formulated to support healthy hair and scalp health.

Definitely something new for me and I’m curious to see how adding a little “from within” care can complement my usual hair-care routine. ✨

My child is thriving after school 💛

As a parent, I think one of the nicest feelings is knowing that your child is somewhere they feel happy, supported and comfortable even after the school day ends.

That was what stood out to me about our experience at Thrive After-school Sanctuary.

Yes, there’s support for homework and revision, but I love that their afternoons are not just about sitting down and studying again. There’s time to learn, move, communicate, create, play and simply enjoy being a child. 📚✨

What I appreciate most is how Thrive looks beyond academics. They also encourage confidence, independence, curiosity, communication and emotional awareness, which are things I really want my child to grow into as well.

With Julia Gabriel’s 35+ years of educational experience and its EduDrama®️ methodology, learning feels engaging and natural. The children also get to experience activities such as Speech Communication Arts, Think N’ Ink, Maths, Mandarin, sports and movement, together with daily mindfulness. 🌱

And for me, knowing that homework, enrichment, meals and their daily routine are all thoughtfully taken care of gives me so much more peace of mind.

It also means that when we’re finally together again, our time can feel a little more like family time instead of rushing through another list of things to complete. ❤️

A meaningful morning with the family ❤️🌿

Spent our morning at Sentosa Palawan Beach yesterday for the Walk for Our Children ft. RBC Race for the Kids 2026! 🥰

We signed up for the 2km Fun Walk and it was a nice way to spend time together as a family — walking, chatting and enjoying the morning together. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👧💕

There were also performances, carnival booths, family activities and refreshments, making it a really fun morning out for everyone!

But beyond the fun, what made this event even more meaningful was knowing that every ticket purchased goes towards supporting Singapore Children’s Society’s programmes and services for children, youth and families. ❤️

A small step, but one we were happy to take together as a family. 🥰 The event may be over, but the cause continues. 💕

Thank you Singapore Children's Society for putting together such a meaningful event! We hope to be back again next year! 😊
