Following the back-to-back successes of this year's 'Hoppers' and 'Toy Story 5,' Pixar Animation Studios is hard at work on a "stellar lineup" that includes new stories such as 'Gatto' (in theaters March 2027) and 'Ghost Market' (in theaters March 2028) and follow-ups to fan favorites such as 'Incredibles 3' (in theaters June 2028) and 'Coco 2' (in theaters November 2029).

"It's a great balance of sequels that we know people love and originals that I have full confidence people are going to love," Pete Docter, Chief Creative Officer at Pixar, said.

When 'Percy Jackson and the Olympians' returns for its highly anticipated third season, Percy, Grover, and a growing cast of demigods will embark upon a more expansive and dangerous adventure. Based on bestselling author Rick Riordan's novel 'The Titan's Curse,' the story introduces new characters, expands the world of Olympus, and raises the stakes for Percy and his friends.

Executive producer Craig Silverstein said the shift in tone is a natural progression for the series.

"We're always talking about, 'What is too dark, too scary?' But our job is to adapt the books, and the books get darker," Silverstein said. "The stakes get higher as the books go on, and thankfully the cast and the characters age, so a more mature tone makes sense. We approached it carefully, but we knew what we were dealing with right from the beginning."

In 20th Century Studios' 'The Dog Stars,' young pilot Hig (Jacob Elordi) and military survivalist Bangley (Josh Brolin) create an efficient but isolated homestead in a brutal postapocalyptic world. After Hig receives a mysterious radio transmission, he ventures into the unknown in search of the hope and the humanity he still believes exists.

Now playing in theaters, the epic thriller is based on Peter Heller's bestselling novel and directed by Oscar-nominated filmmaker Ridley Scott — two major reasons why Brolin wanted to star in the film.

"When you read prose like that, you're like, 'If this is being made into a film, I hope somebody understands the poetry and the social relevancy of that prose and that they can transfer that into an interesting mythological movie," Brolin says. "When Ridley called and said that he was doing it, I was like, 'I'm in.'"
