Looking for some extra shifts and cash this holiday season? There are lots of jobs floating around on Indeed, with Christmas-themed roles offering decent money to be an elf or Santa Claus going into November and December.
Whether you'd like to be dressed up as a Christmas character or be more on the sidelines of the festive fun, there are jobs of all kinds as we head into Christmas time. Luckily, with Essex holding dozens of Christmas events, there is a job for everyone looking for some cash to tide them over!
Santa Claus - Toby Carvery
Toby Carvery is holding interviews for multiple Essex branches as they look for their Santa for 2024. The Basildon and Chelmsford branch are both looking!
They are seeking a jolly and spirited individual to embody the role of Santa Claus during the festive season. As Santa Claus, you will bring joy and happiness to children and families through engaging interactions and spreading holiday cheer.
In the role, the Santa would communicate with children in a warm and friendly manner, educate children about the spirit of giving and kindness and engage in public speaking at events, grottos, and parades.
While the pay is not advertised, it is a part time role - and you get a 33% employee discount across all of the Toby Carvery brands!
Elftastic Experience, Southend-on-Sea
The Elftastic Experience is hiring for outgoing and high energy performers to spread some extra festive magic this year! You will be working in a team of 2, travelling to gardens and events across the local area.
This is an outside job, not a grotto, and you will be working outside in all weathers. Applicants should have experience in acting and performing arts (professional or training).
They will also need strong physical improvisation skills, lots of energy and a reasonable amount of physical fitness and of course a love of Christmas! Pay is from £15-25 per hour, with the expectation of doing up to 12 hours a week.
