You’ve probably noticed a distinct lack of output from us recently (or just forgot we even existed), and that’s kind of been on purpose as we’ve both decided to bring Beernomicon to an end.
No drama or owt, we both just can’t put the effort, or lack of effort some might say, into it as we once did. We don’t live as close to each other as we have in the past, and our priorities have changed over time. Tom has a wonderful young family and a cidery Torn Plant Ciders & Blends, and Ross has his dumb memes or whatever.
The podcast kinda got killed off during covid. We tried interviews and pods over zoom but it wasn’t for us. The Con was always meant to be about in-person podding and boozing, and when that went our enjoyment of it went too. We got some mint offers of pods since though, live recordings at Peakender and a quiz pod at GRUB being stand outs, but we’re now sick of dragging our feet on this. Time to end it and move on proper. Plus christ, beer has enough bearded white-guy podcasts as it is, doubt many will mourn one ending.
It was fun af to do this over the years. Chatting to brewers, bar staff, drinkers and everyone is between was what it was all about. We did a lot of that, and we did a lot of good drinking too.
Anyway before this becomes an embarrassing eulogy to something only a handful of people ever even listened to, thanks to everyone who ever chatted to us for a podcast, and cheers to anyone who listened.
If always felt pretty ridiculous even one person ever listened to our bu****it.
