This OSR adventure is a classic funhouse dungeon crawl inspired by the great 1st edition modules of yesteryear. In it, 4-6 characters levels 6-8 will explore the ancient lair of an infamous necromancer, solve mysterious riddles, and encounter new and terrifying monsters.

It includes 3 levels with over 80 fully described locations and features cover art by Giulia Tonon and interior art by Creea Revueltas, Felipe Faria, and Carlos Castilho.

It will be available as print and PDF for OSRIC rules and as a PDF super bundle including versions for OSRIC, Old School Essentials Advanced Fantasy, Swords & Wizardry, Advanced Labyrinth Lord, and Castles & Crusades.

An OSR Adventure for the World's Greatest Roleplaying Game

As I've mentioned in a previous post, I'm doing my best to support the artist community by commissioning art for projects that will happen further down the road. Below is the incredible cover illustration for Danger issue 6 by the very talented Esmeralda Platania. I asked her to provide something that has a bit of an art nouveau feel and she hit it out of the park. To the right of that are all 6 covers developed so far. Starting from the top left, the artists are Clark Ocleasa, Rubén Pesqueira, Mental Foundry, Kelvin Nunes, Mario Villagarcia and Esmeralda. They were all great to work with and I highly recommend them. Now I just have to get to work. 😁

Here's another great cover for Danger. This one is by the very talented Mario Villagarcia. For those of you who are unfamiliar with my intentions, I'm investing in future projects and supporting artists as best I can. While this one won't see the light of day for a while, the first issue of Danger will likely be coming to Kickstarter this summer.

I mentioned in an earlier post that I'm supporting artists by commissioning covers for projects that will happen further down the road. The latest is the cover of Sands of Terror by the very talented Eryk Szczygieł (Typhon Art). A terrific experience working with him. This adventure will likely follow the Crypt of Atan-Thu once that one is completed.

I've decided to invest in the future and support artists by commissioning cover art for eventual projects. Below is the cover for the 4th issue of Danger by Mental Foundry. A delight to work with and highly recommended. I'll be sharing these works as they become available with the understanding that the projects themselves are still a way off. In the meantime, work on The Crypt of Atan-Thu and the first issue of Danger continues!

One of the great pleasures of developing content for fantasy gaming is working with artists. I've been fortunate enough to commission work from very talented people and while I hope to work with them again, if they are willing and able, I'm always on the lookout for new voices. One such is Rubén Pesqueira who created the illustration for Danger issue 2. This won't come out for a bit, but Rubén was available and I couldn't pass up the opportunity. I really like the retro/Mignola adjacent feel of his work. And collaborating with him was a great experience.
