September 30th is International Podcast Day! This year, we wanted to thank you for your continued support of From The Point: A Blues Hockey Podcast since we’re now into our 3rd year of podcasting our fandom.

This started as a fun project during the pandemic and quickly evolved from there. However, this almost ended last year as life was getting in the way and our team was going through some massive struggles. It wasn’t until seeing the stats of Episode 22, which has produced the most ever downloads for one FTP episode, that we decided we had to reimagine things and reboot. Man, are we glad we did!

We’d like to thank you all for being in our corner. We’re not monetized, we’re not backed by Blues alumni. We’re just two diehard Millennial aged fans who like to take our conversations at work and translate them to a podcast format. So for that, we’re humbled by the amount of love, support and time you take to tune in to what we love to do.

We are devastated to hear about the passing of Johnny Hockey and his brother Matthew. Johnny was 31 years old and Matthew was 29 years old and was killed while out for a bike ride when they were struck by a vehicle. The whole Gaudreau family was together for their sisters wedding that they we groomsmen for.

Johnny was such a talented hockey player on the ice but his impact off the ice was even greater. He was a husband, father of two kids under the age of three, brother, and a friend to many, many people.

Hug your kids a little tighter today. Kiss your significant other. Text your siblings and friends today just to say hi and that you love them.

Our condolences go out today to the Gaudreau family, the Blue Jackets and the Flames organizations, the Boston College hockey team, and anyone who's lives are affected by the loss of these two gentleman.

Stick taps to Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau. Rest In Peace.

Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to support our little podcast about Blues hockey. It’s been a while since we last posted anything and that is because, well, if we are being honest, life can be a pain in the ass.

Joe and I decided that the best thing would be to step away from the podcasting world.

Two weeks later, Joe records with Steven and Matt over at TheRadkast studio and had a blast (as we always do). Then we checked our stats and was blown away with the about of downloads we got from the Blackhawks Rival episode.

Couple that, an Avalanche episode never before released, and the realization that we just love to talk about hockey, we WILL be coming back soon.

For all who listened, thank you. You have inspired me (and probably Joe too) to come back to the table and talk about the team we’ve grown up watching, fell in love with, bi***ed and complained about, and raised a Bud Light listening to Gloria with, your St. Louis Blues.

Coming up in the next week will be the long awaited Avalanche episode and then we will be off to the races.

Chris and Joe embark on an EPIC journey into hatred, darkness and overall shenanigans and discuss the bitter rivalry between your St. Louis Blues and the Chicago Blackhawks. As we recorded on Memorial Day, we did not have a crystal ball to know that was going to leave us for Chicago. We will get to that eventually.
