Wundanyi MP Danson Mwashako Declares Bid for Taita Taveta Gubernatorial seat in 2027

Wundanyi Member of Parliament Hon. Danson Mwashako has officially announced that he will vie for the Taita Taveta County Governor seat in the 2027 General Election.

Mwashako made the declaration during the Wundanyi Education Conference held at Dawson Mwanyumba stadium where his announcement was received with loud applause as residents at the event celebrated the move.

The two-term legislator who cited a clear and proven development track record in Wundanyi Constituency said Taita Taveta County is lagging behind in development across key sectors.

In his address Mwashako pointed out challenges in healthcare and other critical areas, noting that the county has not fully realized its development potential.

He pledged that, if elected governor, his leadership would focus on transforming Taita Taveta County, improving service delivery and ensuring inclusive development that benefits all residents.

Mwashako’s entry into the gubernatorial race is expected to significantly shape the county’s political landscape ahead of 2027.

Edda Mwanjala who scored 64/72 Points is set to join Bura Girls High School

Edda Mwanjala the top student from Mkwachunyi Primary School in Mbololo Ward scored 64 out of 72 Points in her Grade 9 exams and will join Bura Girls High School tomorrow for Grade 10.

Lawrence Mzugha the Mbololo Ward MCA presented her with a gift package in recognition of her achievement and to support her transition to the secondary school.
