August has been one of my favorite months to fish for quite awhile and today was no different. Such an awesome morning on the water at Seneca. Caught my first smallmouth ever at Seneca (only the second one I’ve ever seen caught here) and quite a few largemouth. Didn’t end up finding a lot of size but the numbers were there like the rest of the month has been.

I’m probably in the overwhelming minority by saying this but August is one of my favorite months of the year to fish especially on seneca. Didn’t catch a lot of size today but had a ton of fun. Spent the majority of the day just junk fishing and put quite a few small ones in the boat this morning. Went back out this evening for about 2 hours and landed the biggest of the fish on the day.
