Travel Sketch Three friends plus an Aussie Shepherd exploring the world from aboard our catamaran home.

Extensive warranty repairs meant it didn't quite turn out as expected, but we're continuing to work to make our dream a reality.

📌⛵ Currently in Trinidad & Tobago Our journey began with travels around Australia and Southeast Asia with friends who wanted to share in the adventure. We then took the plunge and quit our jobs to spend a year traveling with just the three of us. The trip began with us

backpacking through Asia, exploring Thailand, the Philippines, China, and Japan. We saw wild animals, bought our own Filipino fishing boat, slept on deserted islands, and spent time with locals. Next, we road tripped around Europe, stopping anywhere that piqued our interest. We drove Italy’s Amalfi Coast, did Yacht Week in Croatia, danced at Tomorrowland and Ultra Europe, and explored Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and England. Now we’ve started our next adventure - traveling the world aboard our Leopard 45 catamaran, sailing vessel Liger. Along for the ride is our resident boat dog Rose, an Australian Shepherd who loves living aboard a yacht.

Over the next few week we're releasing a series of blog posts focusing on the mental health side of being on the hardstand. The first was a public post, while the second is members only. You can check them out on the website!

After 2+ years in boat yards, I’ve learned that comfort has a direct effect on your productivity and mental health. So, here my top hacks to make your next haul-out more comfortable.

Not far from the Chaguaramas yachting hub in Trinidad is an abandoned Cold War era facility that overlooks the Caribbean Sea.

Built in Trinidad by the American military, it's spread across two levels cut into the top of the hillside. The higher level has the ruins of an immense dish, while the lower section is a huge, abandoned building complex. As cruisers it's a unique place to explore when we want a break from yard life.

To celebrate reaching 15K subs, we're releasing some videos that were previously Members Only! Some of you may have been lucky enough to see this one before ...

While in St Martin we decided to give the Starlink Mini a try to see if it was a better solution for us than the Flat High Performance Dish. Our main concerns for this test; power consumption and speed.

After 3+ months it's safe to say, we're impressed! ⛵🛜

Reliable, fast internet has become a must-have for many liveaboard sailors. We rely on Starlink aboard SV Liger, and recently made the switch to the Starlink Mini. After 3+ months, here's our review!

As part of readying our sailboat for a hurricane season of storage in the Trinidad shipyard post haul-out, Tynan went up the mast to bring down the wind instruments. It's just a normal part of boat life that we do to reduce unnecessary wear and tear on these invaluable marine data instruments.

Now that our sailing home is out of the water and things are more settled, work is well and truly underway.

We have many boat jobs planned for this hurricane season haul out, some big, some small. This episode outlines a few of the outstanding jobs post warranty repairs and dives into one of the first ones we're addressing; a cracked frame that seems to be from a flexing bulkhead - can you guess how many repair attempts it's already had?

Hurricane season is when many liveaboard cruisers in the Caribbean haul out and store their boats on land, and with plenty of work still to do, we decided to do the same. We chose Peake Yacht Services in Trinidad, where their 150 ton travel lift handled our 45ft Leopard Catamaran with ease.

The team was professional, efficient, and made the whole process smooth - thanks guys!

When planning our day the late afternoons are always reserved for "Rose Time".

Happily, we're in an area of the yard with little to no traffic meaning she can safely run around on days that we're not escaping off to the jungle 🐕

Now that we're safely up on the hardstand it is busy, busy, busy, around Liger!

The job lists are sorted, parts have started coming in, flights are being booked and each of us has started some of the long awaited projects we've wanted or needed to do. There are some huge ones coming, including repairing the non-skid deck, building new tables, and re-doing the upholstery (which has already started!).

We're determined not to feel stressed or rushed, especially after last time, so are setting a pace that is efficient yet comfortable, while also trying to see a bit more of Trinidad. ⛵️

Haulout day has arrived!

For this hurricane season we're at Peake Yacht Services , where we plan to finish rectifying the warranty issues and damage left on SV Liger, and do a few upgrades before the next sailing season.

We also have some plans away from the boat, which we're very excited for! ⛵

In Trinidad one of our favourite things to do is go DDI, or Down the Islands. This weekend was a long weekend so we had the chance to go to Gasparee Island and enjoy the peace and quiet, as well as reunion with our second favourite doggo (don't tell Rose!) 😂🐕
