It wasn’t long until the Eleventh Order caught word of the magic child and Ezra was able convince the boy he was a conduit of God. Cardinal Busoni ordered Ezra to give Elijah to the church but after weeks of negotiations behind closed doors Busoni allowed Elijah to travel with the Eleventh Flock despite his young age.

Meet The Characters: Bishop Edmund Martin

Edmund Martin was indoctrinated into the church at an early age. He had no plans or desires to rise in the ranks, happy as a simple chronicler in the archives. He spent years going over dusty tomes, committing them and the holy texts to memory. It wasn’t until his fifties that he preached his first sermon in front of a congregation.

His by-the-book messages were very popular in the wartime churches, where the delegation chose to see the world only in black and white. Martin grew in popularity as a preacher and was called on after the annexation of Austria-Hungary to be the Bishop of Durinbar to help guide them back to the Lord.
