John Snedden - Military Justice Investigator
John Snedden is a veteran Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) Special Agent (Criminal Investigator), was previously named the “NCIS Special Agent of the Year”, where he handled felony criminal investigations and counterintelligence matters. John is a Plank Owner of the NCIS Cold Case Squad, a veteran Federal Investigative Service Special Agent and recipient of the “Federal Sustained Superior Performance Award”. John is a US Navy veteran.
John Snedden is a dedicated investigator supporting the Military Justice Division at Capovilla and Williams. He joined the firm after serving as a Special Agent in the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS). During his time with NCIS, John was responsible for felony criminal investigations and foreign counterintelligence operations worldwide. His cases included homicides, assaults (including s*xual assaults and child s*x abuse), computer crimes, money laundering, financial crimes, fraud, bid-rigging, larceny, forgery, and drug offenses/suppression operations. John also collaborated on numerous joint operations with the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FINCEN). He developed and presented foreign counterintelligence and criminal threat assessments, applied for and executed federal search warrants as necessary, and conducted court-ordered wiretaps and electronic surveillance. Additionally, he was assigned to the NCIS Cold Case Squad, where he worked on some of the most high-profile cases in Naval justice history. Today, John utilizes his extensive investigative and military experience to help clients build their cases, develop robust themes and theories of defense, and uncover evidence often overlooked by military investigative agencies.
