🌧️🇲🇽
Just when we thought everything was set for the big day, Tropical Storm Boris decided to stir things up. This storm made landfall on Tuesday along the Guerrero and Oaxaca coast, dumping massive rains that caused flooding and mudslides down south.
Families there are dealing with tough conditions, homes at risk, and roads turned into rivers. It really hits hard how unpredictable nature can be right before such a huge event.
Here in the capital, the remnants are bringing heavy showers, thunderstorms, and gusty winds exactly on Thursday, June 11 the World Cup inauguration at Estadio Azteca. Mexico faces South Africa in the opening match, with Shakira and Burna Boy set to light up the ceremony.
Imagine the energy mixed with pouring rain. Traffic could get chaotic, streets slippery, and fans soaked while cheering.
Its a reminder to stay safe, prepare umbrellas and plans B, and keep an eye on updates from Conagua. The excitement for the World Cup is huge, but lets not forget those affected down south.
Hope the rain eases up so we can all enjoy this historic moment without too much drama. Nothing can go wrong with salt, right? 😅
Stay dry and Vamos Mexico!
