Bekas Perdana Menteri, Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak yang sedang menjalani hukuman penjara selama 12 tahun kerana perbuatan rasuah dilaporkan dimasukkan ke Hospital Kuala Lumpur (HKL) kerana masalah kesihatan.

LARGEST convention centre in Penang scheduled to be completed in first quarter of 2025 😍

Known as the Penang Waterfront Convention Centre (PWCC), it will act as a catalyst for more events to take place in Penang after its scheduled completion in Q1 of 2025.

Measuring about 76,000sq ft, it is a project under The Light City, which is located next to the Penang Bridge and is developed by IJM Perennial Development Sdn Bhd (IJMPD).

Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow, who was present to inspect the work’s progress of The Light City project, expects the PWCC to be a key venue attraction for major events.

“We welcome the construction of PWCC to accommodate more huge events to take place in Penang as more business visitors will visit the state.

“Of course, we have the Setia SPICE Convention Centre in Bayan Lepas to cater to various events, but a bigger convention facility is needed as an alternative.

“The conclusion of the prestigious SEMICON Southeast Asia (SEA) 2022 in Setia SPICE Arena and Convention Centre last month has proven that a larger facility will be a boost for us.

“This is to ensure that more events can take place in Penang, rather than they are held in our neighbouring countries.

The ongoing construction works of The Light City project, which is located next to the Penang Bridge, is developed by IJM Perennial Development Sdn Bhd (IJMPD).

The shopping-centre component of the mixed development will feature a variety of retail tenants.

The RM4.5bil mammoth mixed development project has two phases. The first phase includes The Waterfront Shoppes, PWCC, hotel & office tower and Mezzo residences, while the second phase comprises The Waterfront Shoppes, Commercial Tower (future development) and Essence residences.

Both phases are expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2025.

Dukacita dimaklumkan penyanyi & penghibur serba boleh, Kak Adibah Noor meninggal dunia kira-kira jam 6:30ptg tadi, dipercayai kerana penyakit kanser ovari tahap 4.

Setakat 8:29malam ini jenazah masih berada di Hospital Gleaneagles.

Jenazah khabarnya akan di bawa ke rumah ayahnya di Keramat Permai.

22 year old jumps off Penang Bridge

In just less than 24hrs, yet another su***de case has occured. The incident was reported to have taken place at approx.3.45am on 24th May 2022 this morning. The young girl had abandoned her Perodua Axia before jumping over while her glasses, phone and IC were found in the car.

Police believes she was swept away by strong currents.

Here is update from Astro Radio Traffic & Plus Highway on today traffic jam coming back to Kuala Lumpur and now heavy rain. Please Drive Safe.

Several major highways heading to the Klang Valley are still experiencing heavy traffic as many are taking the advantage of free toll on the North-South Expressway (PLUS) and the East Coast Expressway (LPT) from midnight last night until Sunday (May 8) to return home after the Aidilfitri holidays.

PENANG BRIDGE: congested from Prai - Island

PLUS (North)
Traffic is slow moving in the following areas
Jitra - Hutan Kampung
Pendang - Alor Setar
Permatang Pauh - Perai
Bukit Tambun & Bandar Baharu - Sg Bakap
Changkat Jering - Kuala Kangsar - the Sg Perak R&R
Ipoh Utara - Ipoh Selatan continuing towards Gopeng (2 hours)
Gopeng - Sungkai
Bukit Beruntung - Rawang

PLUS (South):
Yong Peng - Senai
Bukit Gambir - Jasin
Simpang Ampat - Seremban

JALAN KUALA PILAH: There’s still slow traffic from Kuala Pilah - Tanjung Ipoh

KL KARAK HWAY: There’s still a 1 hour 30 min crawl after the Karak toll plaza - Bukit Tinggi

JALAN KOTA BHARU GUA MUSANG: There’s still a half an hour delay from Pulai Chondong - Machang, and the jam continues for another 2 hours heading towards Kuala Krai.
Meanwhile, it’s still congested for more than 1 hours from Chiku - Gua Musang.

EAST WEST HWAY: There’s still a 40 min delay from Tanah Merah - Machang. Meanwhile, traffic is slow moving for half an hour from Tanah Merah - Batu 11, & the jam continues for another hour from Bukit Bunga - Ayer Lanas

JALAN KUALA TERENGGANU KOTA BHARU: It’s still congested for 2 hours from Jerteh - Permaisuri, and the jam continues for another 1 hour 30 min - Chalok

JALAN KG RAJA - KG CHE SALAMAH: Expect a more than 3 hour jam from Kuala Setiu - Kg Che Salamah, and the jam continues towards Penarek

WEST COAST EXPRESSWAY: Traffic is still heavy from Kampung Parit Jerman - Teluk Intan

Please be informed that the free tolls on the PLUS Highway, East Coast Expressway and other selected highways will end on Sunday 8th of May 2022 at 11.59pm so please make sure you have exited the PLUS highway or the other highways before the given time ends
