Hey guys, I just want to say that it's been fun writing this to distract myself from boredom this vacation.

Chapter 7 will be my last upload here unfortunately.

Though I plan to work on this for about 100-200 chapters more.

I'll be back, just not here.

Untitled, Chapter 7

I laid there in silence.

I raised my hand into the air. The warmth of the morning sun piercing through my skin. It feels like a dream, though I can’t seem to wake up. I was in awe, yet at the same time, in horror.

I got up and walked to the bathroom. Through the mirror I saw what was once a person I would only see through the world of words. A being I could only see through my unending delusions.

“So this is how it feels to wake up in your eyes, Drei.”

Walking to school, with two umbrellas in my bag. It feels weird but this is how he does it. I woke up two months after Drei met Jan. I’m standing in front of Jan’s house right now, like how he does it everyday.

“Good day is it, Jan?”

“Yeah, you ready for exams?” Jan asked.

“I think I should be the one asking you that. You probably stayed up all night writing poe-”

I stopped.

“Pardon?” She asks again.

“Nothing, anyway I still have this umbrella here. Just take it. Your old one might break so here.”

She declines the offer, even after handing it to her.

“I think this old one is still good enough. I take good care of things.” Jan replied.

Ah, I know this one. It looks like she’s really taking care of it. I was almost brought into tears by what seems like an insignificant sentence. I could only hold back my urge to cry in front of her.

“Well, just say to me if you’ll need this one. Let’s go, we’ll gonna be late if we just talk here.”

I want to say many things to Jan, yet I can’t. How I wish I could, but I’m afraid. I’m afraid it would ruin the very thing I cherished, the very thing I cried to every night, the very thing that kept me alive that time I was drowning in sorrow.

How I wish I could embrace her, to make her feel loved.

To make her feel wanted.

To make her happy.

“Hey Drei, you okay?” A friend of Drei asked me.

“Yeah, I just feel like going quiet for today. Maybe it’s something I ate last night.”

I could only look at the world that I once thought as a fantasy. To my surprise, everything was, much more good looking that what I expected it to be.

The falling leaves outside, like little streams flowing in the wind. It’s like fishes in a pond, a never ending scenery so breathtaking.

The world I once saw as a paradise in my never ending imagination.

It was the time I anticipated the most, the time after class. I took care of some school things then waited for Jan at the gate. It’s like the first chapter of the story, a scene so beautiful. She walks out to be greeted by the wind, lifting her hair up. This school’s uniform even compliments her looks. I could only look at her through the eyes of Drei.

I don’t know why.

I don’t know how.

I want to know what happened to Drei.

But as of now, I could only keep progressing through this story as him.

I could only pretend to be Drei in this world revolving around the ‘Beauty Blessed with Hands of Diamond’.

Untitled, Chapter 6

For the past 2 months, Drei had been following Jan. There was no day he didn’t show up in front of Jan’s house. It was like an unending loop. There was also, no escape for Jan. The first week was rather the most annoying, but eventually it became nothing more that a part of Jan’s walk to school. Though every night she would write more and more poems as she did the past day.

Second Day.

“You’re here, again.”

“Yeah, I recently moved in this neighborhood.”

“Right, now if you’ll excuse me, I’ll get going. On. My. Own.”

“Don’t be like that Jan. We’re schoolmates.”

“Schoolmates, nothing more, nothing less.”

Seventh Day.

“Jan! You’re gonna be late if this keeps up!”
“Uh, you don’t have to wait for me don’t you?”

“Yeah, but I’ll do it anyway.”

Jan walked towards him with an unusual expression. Drei was ready to be ignored as he learned her routine with him already. He’s just a tiny little raindrop to be avoided by Jan.

“Good boy,” Jan said while patting Drei’s head. He couldn’t respond to what Jan just did. It was so out of character. She continued patting his head as if he’s a dog being praised by his owner. He couldn’t move an inch. It’s like he frozen that moment. He could only see Jan’s smiling face as she pats him more.

“You know, if you weren’t in that body I’d have kept you as a pet. Just stop following me or I might just make it happen you know.”

That morning Jan was in good spirits. Seeing him so silent in a different way was rather, entertaining for her. Ms. Klein was the first to notice this change.

“Jan, you’re in a rather good mood. How’s making up with Drei coming along?” Ms. Klein asked.

“Good, I think. He’s been following me for the past few days. He moved in my neighborhood coincidentally,” Jan replied.

“Is that so… When he gets too annoying make him fluster a bit. It’s quite effective,” Ms. Klein jokingly said to Jan.

“Right, well, see you later ma’am.”

Drei on the other hand…

“Drei? You good there?”

“...”

“I think he finally lost it. Probably because of the ‘Thug Princess’ from the other class.”

“I saw them walk like everyday since the second day of school. And the first day they went somewhere together.”

“He probably lost on a fight with her and he became her underling.”

“He lost? For a rather big guy like him it’d be hard to lose. Maybe she knows martial arts or something.”

“The worst part is that she got hit by a motorcycle that same day. She’s a monster!”

“She’s quite the looker though.”

“Shut up, she got our boy Drei here.”

Despite all his friends talking in front of him, Drei couldn’t hear whatever they were talking about that time. Those words were just playing inside his head over and over and over again.

After class, they met on the way home too. The two we’re very much silent along the way.

“Look who’s a broken radio now, Drei.”

“No, I’m too tired today.”

“That red face of you very much says the opposite though.”

“R-red face, it’s just the sun.”

“Sure, Drei. Whatever you say so.”

The following weeks have been more quiet since. The two eventually did have a proper conversation while walking to school from the third week onwards. Ms, Klein checks them out asking if they really made up. The rumors of Drei being an underling of the ‘Thug Princess’ spread, but the two refused to answer the other student’s questions. It became a well-known thing in the school.

Upon Jan’s full recovery, the ‘Beauty Behind Bandages’ and ‘Thug Princess’ became less known and she was only given another name since.

‘She was blessed with hands that could create poems able to bring tears in the eye, it was like a brilliant gem. At the same time, it was the very hands that can conquer with sheer toughness and power’.

She was the ‘Beauty Blessed with Hands of Diamond’.

Untitled, Chapter 5

The next day, Jan woke up much earlier than yesterday. The sound of the rain greeted her morning, having developed a temporary fear of it. She pays her second goodbye to her cat, only to find Drei outside her house. He was there, standing in front of her house, with his usual smug expression. He greets Jan and offers her an umbrella.

“That umbrella of yours seems old. Here, have this. I’ll walk you-”

Jan just passed through him, like he was nothing more than another raindrop to avoid.

“Don’t be like that, come on,” Drei said as he follows Jan around.

“Just stop following me, I don’t want to have anything to do with you. So please, step aside,” Jan replied as Drei keeps following her while walking.

“Oh, ok then,” Drei suddenly muttered.

Drei went silent and the two walked to school.

“Um, why are you still following me?” Jan asked.

“I go here Jan, I’m also a student. You know Ms. Klein right? She’s my class adviser,” Drei replied folding his umbrella after they got inside the gate.

“She sure knows her students,” Jan said as she recalled the time Ms. Klein said something about Drei.

“I think what you’ll find is quite different, get well soon dear. Oh, and by the way you forgot the compensation money for you. If you want, you can stay here in the clinic for the rest of the afternoon.”

“I know he’s a troublemaker but please don’t make too much fuss about it. He left a note for you I guess he wanted to see you again, so he can apologize in person.”

“Yeah,” Drei replied.

The scene went silent. Only the sound of the rain could be heard in it. There was a moment when the two only shared a stare. Jan once again saw the tall good looking bastard who hit her with a motorcycle. It was blurry yet so clean. The shadow she once sought to hate has appeared once again, but she doesn’t harbor such feelings anymore. It wasn’t anything she had felt before, yet it was a familiar feeling.

“What was it again?”

“Ah, right.”

“It’s THAT thing, huh,” Jan said to herself.

“Well, I’ll see you later. Be careful, okay?”

“Coming from you I’d think you should be the one taking that advice, Drei.”

“Come to think of it, yeah. I’ll make sure to keep that in mind.”

“No, I think you shouldn’t see me later. I made it clear, I don’t want to see you again.”

“You’re one hard shell to crack, just tell me what do you really want?”

“Just go away, class is starting.”

Untitled, Chapter 4

“Why…”

“Why did it end up like this?!”

After class, the scene of students walking out the gate. It was quite windy that day, the falling leaves fly all over the school. The sound of the wind blowing was overtaken by whispers of admiration for a beauty hidden by bandages. As she walks towards the gate with, at the very least, an upset expression. Her jet-black hair flowed with the wind like a silent river along with the leaves.

“Let’s see who this bastard is,” Jan said to herself ready to see who was behind the misfortune that befell her.

Only to realize.

“Hi.”

“Really? That’s all you had to say? I thought we were going to have a deep conversation.”

“Huh? Oh, right.”

“The apology, Jan. We’re talking about the apology.”

Jan stood there like a broken radio. What stood in front of her isn’t the spoiled bastard who was in her mind all day. It was rather, far from the truth as it can be.

“I’ll skip the introductions for now, wanna go for coffee? I know a place.”

“S-sure,” Jan replied.

“I know it’s awkward and all, but please. Get in the motorcycle. Hold on tight, I don’t want another thing to happen to you because of me.”

“S-sure,” Jan replied.

The two rode off to a cafe almost out of town. They sat at an open table, and the waiter handed the menu to Jan.
“I’ll have the usual, thanks.”

“Right away sir, and what would miss over here order?” the waiter asked

“I’ll have the strongest you have, no sugar, please,” Jan replied while fixing her hair.

“First of all, I’m Drei. I apologize for not talking to you earlier in the morning, it was a rather busy day I had.”

“Y-yeah, I’m Jan,” Jan replied.

“I didn’t know it was this bad. I know you didn’t hit your head or something like that though,” Drei said, confusingly.

Drei stood up and sat beside Jan. As he reaches his hand towards Jan and-

“Ow! That hurts you-”

“Oh.”

“I guess a good flick can fix a broken radio,” Drei says while smiling.

Jan snapped out of whatever she was in. Drei then returned to his seat and waited for his coffee.

“You know this cafe?” Drei asked.

“No, usually I just buy coffee from the store near the house,” Jan replied.

“You know, even if you buy me a whole cafe, you can’t buy me off like that you bastard,” Jan said with eyes as cold as a blizzard.

“I know, I just want to make it up to you. So please, what CAN I do to make it up to you, I don’t want to be sued again,” Drei replied.

“I guess you don’t act like a spoiled brat as much as… uhm. As much as you don’t look like one,” Jan said while tapping the table.

“You’re quite feisty for someone who looks like a damsel in distress. You remind me of my cat, but it usually cuddles me whenever I want it to.”

“What’s that supposed to mean?” Jan asks while tilting her head.

“And besides, I don’t want anything to do with you anymore. The apology and the compensation money were enough, I was just here to get the apology.”

“No, I won’t let you leave until we settle this. You know I can see your, to say the least, upset face, right?” Drei insists on continuing the conversation.

“I’ll leave now, I just want to get my time back into writing poems, okay?” Jan says while she stands up.

They both got out of the cafe. Drei insists to drive her home.

“Come on, walking to your house from here would take forever. I’m really sorry so please, let me do this for you.”

“I guess you can,” Jan accepted Drei’s suggestion.

They got into Jan’s house, Jan hurriedly thanked Drei for the ride and got inside the house.

“What was that all about?” Drei asked himself and lets out a sigh.

“I can’t…”

“I mustn’t…”

“What the hell..”

“Is with that bastard?!”

“Leave me alone! I don’t want something like that again!”

“Why…”

“Why did it end up like this again?!”

That night Jan could only write so many poems to try and calm herself down. Tightly holding her pen, to let go of her raging emotions.

Untitled, Chapter 3

Jan spaced out, staring out the window in class. A pen in her hand, writing lines and stanzas to relief her anger towards what happened earlier. But as Jan thinks more about it, the more upset she became. Though that was the case, she can still participate in the discussion actively rather easily.

“The hell’s a motorcycle to a body of steel, that withstood the pain inside that it feels.”

“I don’t even know what to do anymore, accepting apologies or let my mind drown in gore.”

“What does she mean by ‘quite different’? I’m sure he’d be one of those spoiled brats from a rich family, even left a person he literally hit with a motorcycle without apologizing in the first place. What the hell would be the things he’s so busy off that he’d prioritize it first before me?!” Jan asked herself these kinds of questions again and again as her expression gets uglier by the minute.

No one in the class even dare to bother her, as they just talk about gossips and rumors supposedly made by their first impression of her.

Even the teachers were worried as Ms. Klein explained the recent events that happened to her. But when they try to approach her, she unintentionally lets out a face even a teacher would be intimidated to. I guess the pent up frustration from days she couldn’t write poems got mixed up with what she felt for some reason.

The last class, coincidentally, was Ms. Klein’s. There was some strange awkwardness between the two of them as they exchange stares while in session. Sine it was an English class, the first thing Ms. Klein made them do is write something to describe the student’s summer breaks.

Jan then asked if they could write a poem for it, or at least only a stanza of it. Ms. Klein agreed as Jan’s expression turns 180 instantly. The class, including Ms. Klein was, to say the least, surprised by this sudden change in expression. And so, Jan was the first student to pass her work to Ms. Klein. The class fell in silence. As Jan walks back to her seat, Ms. Klein asked her,

“...It looks like what you write comes from the deepest part of you. I appreciate that, Ms. Jan.”

“I guess you’re the English teacher for a reason, thanks,” Jan replied rather casually.

The class continued its silence. As if the clock’s ticking can be heard throughout the room. Jan on the other hand, goes back to her original expression, though it was less intense. Writing poems just really calm her down.

Calmly waiting, tapping her pen in the table. She waits, as she stares at the clouds outside. A bandage near her right eyebrow, I didn’t know it would compliment Jan’s hazel eyes. Everyone who looked her way that moment were captivated by the seemingly thug-like girl looking out the window. A gentle blow of wind to elevate Jan’s long, black hair. So vivid yet hidden in plain sight, a beauty hidden in bandages.

The bell rang, and the class ended. It wasn’t until Ms. Klein announced the end of class the students who were looking at Jan and Jan itself noticed it.

A familiar shadow, outside the gates of the school. Jan was ready to give the lecturing of her life to this spoiled bastard, but what she found…

Really was quite different.

“A guy? I’m sure it’s the stubborn kind, probably a spoiled bastard too. But I’ll make sure he gets his well deserved lecturing of his life,” Jan said with a more frustrated expression.

Ms. Klein lets out a little giggle saying, “I think what you’ll find is quite different, get well soon dear. Oh, and by the way you forgot the compensation money for you.”

“Compensation money? Oh, right. Thanks Ms. Klein!” Jan said.

Jan was still confused while walking back to the classroom.

“What does she mean by ‘quite different’?” Jan asked herself as she stared out the window before class starts again.

Untitled, Chapter 2.1

“Um, miss? Are you okay? Miss, hello?” Jan opens her eyes to find someone carrying her.

“...O-of course I’m n-not okay you b-bastard, I just got hit by a literal vehicle.” Jan answered in a weakening manner.

“Right, just hold on a little longer, we’re almost at the clinic,” Jan couldn’t see who was talking and just decided to close her eyes.

She woke up at the clinic bed all patched up, the person who carried her only left a note, a stack of money for compensation, and a message to the teacher in charge of the clinic, Ms. Klein.

“I know he’s a troublemaker but please don’t make too much fuss about it. He left a note for you I guess he wanted to see you again, so he can apologize in person,” Ms. Klein said looking at Jan’s clearly upset expression.

“Wait for me at the gate after class, sorry I couldn’t face you now. I got other things to do,” the note says.

Like any sensible person would, of course Jan is pi**ed. She thanked the teacher for helping her out and hurried to her appointed classroom this year. Ms. Klein tried to hand the compensation money to her but she left already.

She couldn’t even speak a word in the class as she was overtaken by anger. And they regarded her as a thug with all the bandages from her recent “fights” and from her attitude since she entered the classroom.

Jan just ignores this because she couldn’t help herself but think about the person who literally hit her with a motorcycle and left without another word.

“It seems that Ms. Klein is close to whoever that was, maybe I should ask her about that person this lunch,” Jan muttered to herself.

After morning class, Jan headed to the clinic again. She asked about the person but Ms. Klein just shrugs it off.

“I think it’s more appropriate to know him in person, dear. Go talk to him later and make sure to give him a lecture,” Ms. Klein replied.

Untitled, Chapter 1.2

Suddenly, a raindrop fell on Jan’s hands. Followed by hundreds, then thousands, and many more of them. Jan brings out her umbrella, a gift from her parents before they left to work far away from home. She remembers the days they were still together under one roof, days the house was still cheery and loud.

She walks through the rain, with her umbrella. Having to go to school by walking was rather convenient and soothing for Jan, even in rainy days. The sound of heavy raindrops hitting the road and roofs, calming her nerves for supposedly what she will face in school.

Just a minor inconvenience, Jan unfortunately couldn’t hear the sound of a motorcycle coming her way from the heavy rain.

Untitled, Chapter 1.1
..
..

“If I transcend once more will I ever get a glimpse of you again?”

A whisper carried by the wind into the skies echoed throughout the world.

“I’ll be waiting for you up here,” a mysterious figure muttered.

“A day like any other, same dream, same room, same eyes, full of gloom.”

Another day to pass through for Jan. Just another day in her summer break, as she writes poems to satisfy her unending boredom. It’s safe to say Jan doesn’t have many people to talk to, she spends almost all of her summer vacations like this.

Days go by, Jan writes it out. Though repetitive, she gives her soul into every word she writes in her poems everyday. She even developed the ability to ignore the time, well, at least not when her body tells her to do other things like eat and sleep.

Another school year’s starting. Jan woke up a little late than usual as she basically stayed up all night. She lives alone near the school, so the only thing to wake her up everyday is an alarm clock.

Jan is not that much of a cleaner, but she doesn’t make too much of a mess in the house so there’s very little need to clean. She just prepares herself for what’s to come this year, go on with it until the end again. A seemingly infinite loop but Jan doesn’t mind those things at the very least, she just writes to her heart’s content. Her life revolves with the pen, her life is within the pen, her life is her very own pen.

“I wonder who’ll be my classmates this year. I hope most of them are quiet ones,” she said to herself in the mirror.

As she leaves the house she pays her first goodbye this year to her pet cat while stroking its chin. Her only companion at home, compared to the other cats, it was rather calm in Jan’s first encounter with it. In one of her summer breaks, while getting home after buying food from the store next street.
