Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal has requested the public not to doubt the Falgun 21 election despite hundreds of prisoners being on the run and a few weapons still missing. He said that the government is fully committed to holding the elections peacefully and without any delay.

According to him, 4,552 prisoners are absconding nationwide, and the government has recovered 727 weapons so far.

He urged all political parties and citizens to cooperate, saying that conducting the election successfully is a shared responsibility.

Around 25 billionaires from around the world are set to visit Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha, for the World Peace Program on December 10–12.

According to officials, this is the first time 25 global billionaires are participating in the program’s third edition.

The event is expected to attract over 10,000 participants, including leaders, scholars, UN cultural ambassadors, business leaders, artists, youth representatives, and community delegates.

Gen-Z activist Kishori Karki has announced that she will contest the upcoming local elections from Okhaldhunga.

Karki said that Okhaldhunga is her hometown, the place where she was born, and where her father’s unfinished dreams and her mother’s struggles remain.

She has promised to work for her district’s progress, and her goal is to uplift Okhaldhunga so that no one will call it “backward” in the future.

According to Oxford, the use of the phrase tripled in 2025. Other words considered were ‘aura farming’ (creating a cool online image) and ‘biohack’ (using methods to improve your body or mind).

Mayor B***n Shah’s father, Dr. Ramnarayan Shah was a senior Ayurvedic physician who spent his career working in the development of Ayurveda in Nepal. He was involved in both practice and administration.

Dr. Shah completed his MD in Kayachikitsa, the branch of Ayurveda focusing on internal medicine, at Gujarat Ayurved University, Jamnagar, India.

After returning to Nepal, he joined government service in 1986, when the Ayurveda Department was just starting. He started from a non-graduate position and later held senior leadership roles.

Throughout his career, Dr. Shah focused on supporting the growth of Ayurveda in Nepal and guiding practitioners. His work spanned several decades in government service and institutional management.

An internal investigation has reportedly recommended action against Armed Police Force (APF) DSP for failing to protect weapons and office property during the Gen Z protests in Kathmandu.

He was in charge of the New Baneshwor security base during the protests on Bhadra 23 and 24. During the unrest, protesters allegedly burned 14 SLR rifles kept in his office.

APF Headquarters said he could not properly safeguard the weapons and office under his command. A few other commanders have also been recommended for action.

These channels, which have been central to music video programming for over four decades, are ending traditional TV broadcasts. The move reflects the industry’s shift to digital streaming and on-demand platforms as TV viewership declines.

The following five dedicated music channels will cease operations globally by the end of 2025: MTV Music, MTV Hits, MTV 80s, MTV 90s, and MTV Live.
