Will you be my Valentine?

In celebration of Valentine’s Day, we will be giving handmade Valentine hearts to the seniors at Oak Park Assisted Living Facility next week.

Do you have a little artist in the family? Or a group of kids that might be looking for something to do? We have the hearts if you have the time to work your magic! Our goal is to collect 100 valentine hearts.

If you are interested in participating you can stop at the police department to get a heart(s) or give us a call and we can bring them to you❤

WAUWATOSA WEST WINS "WE THE PEOPLE" STATE CHAMPIONSHIP-The Wauwatosa West American Public Policy Special Emphasis class just won its fourteenth state championship. The "We the People" competition is conducted through The Center for Civic Education and looks to promote civic knowledge and involvement of young people across the country. Six different "units" consisting of no more than six people compete as a panel before a group of judges from around the country. Each group's presentation is on a specific topic and is meant to simulate an expert hearing done before congress.

Additionally, West's victory comes at a time with spiking COVID cases. Four students, one teaching assistant, and three lawyer mentors were forced to participate from home due to COVID quarantines, however the team didn't let those adversities get in their way. "I'm so excited! This whole thing has been so fun and it's awesome to see all the hard work pay off!" said Carina Pelzek, member of unit six. Congratulations to everybody involved!
