We had an absolute blast with Cole and his buddies with . We spent the weekend on the lake in a sleeper shack and caught a ton of fish! Saturday night we whipped up some Cajun fish tacos 🌮

Unfortunately due to the weather it looks like ice fishing season will be done for me. We had a great year and already have big plans for next year! Time to put away the ice fishing stuff and pack up the dog training gear!

Matthew and I packed up and headed to the Iowa Great Lakes Region to spend a weekend in a sleeper shack. We got into town later on Friday night and the boys had a couple of lines down. After not fishing much in the morning we moved the sleeper shack to an area where we figured we'd run into a good amount of perch.

From 3pm to sunset we had pretty much nonstop action! We had to filter through some of the smaller bites but ended up keeping 17 perch and through back over 75 for a little catch and cook on the ice. We weren't the most prepared for this. The wind was brutal cleaning fish on the tailgate of my truck, but we have a plan to fix that for this upcoming weekend!

If you haven't had the experience of staying in a sleeper shack, I would highly recommend it. It is an absolute blast! We had the livescope rolling and hooked the underwater camera up to the TV while it was still light out.

I'm looking forward to heading back up to the area this weekend and having another fun weekend on the ice!

Well I have been a little under the weather so I’m late to posting, but we had a great weekend in NW Iowa out on the hardwater thanks to my buddy Cole at We were able to stack up a ton of perch and I tell ya what… spending a weekend in a sleeper shack is extremely fun!

Well this was a trip I was really looking forward to. We lined up a trip to go see Tristan and Elisa up in Minnesota! They've have had a lot of success on the ice this winter through hole hopping and their ice house.

Saturday we were dealing with some pretty difficult conditions. It was cold and we had wind gusts sustained at 25 mph gusting to 40mph for the majority of the day. Some of Tristan's family members decided to brave the elements and hole hop around dark. They ended up finding a few nice schools of Crappie before we called it quits for the night.

The next morning we loaded up and punched a few holes in the area where they caught them the night before. After scanning we set up in a couple different locations and started to chase the schools! We caught a ton of fish. Both Tristan and myself even were able to catch a smaller pike.

It was a super fun trip up to see our friends to the North. I look forward to some of our adventures we are starting to plan in the future!

We loaded up and headed north this past weekend to meet up with some of our great friends in Minnesota! Although it was a quick trip we had an absolute blast chasing after crappie, perch and even a few pike. We may have some big plans in store next year going even further north for a trip on the hardwater 👀

Being able to take people out to experience new things in the outdoors is something I always look forward to. This past weekend I took Tom out for his first time ever ice fishing. We got into a few crappie, bluegill and he even got to reel in a nice bass!

With a few hours of prime time morning fishing before I had to head out of town, I hit the hardwater with my buddy Dallas at one of his ponds. They have caught some incredible fish out of this pond before, cappie, bass and gills.

Although we marked and hooked into a couple of crappie we were unfortunately not able to land them. We did still have a heck of the morning though using the livescope to help us dial in on a location with some monster bluegill and quite a few bass!
