Had to change things up and get on some hard water before we lost it all here in central Iowa

Well we timed things up well with a cold front and snow storm and packed up for the Mississippi River! With high winds and snow showers, we decided to head out mid day to see if we could get after a few ducks. The action was fast and furious, allowing us to stack up a 4 man limit in just 2 hours.

I wish I had the opportunity to capture some footage with the big camera, but with the snow being extremely wet I decided I'd be better off to protect my camera equipment from the elements. The running water and snowfall made for some awesome retrieves for Ace.

Little dog, big retrieve and a huge barge. The mighty Mississippi is an interesting place. We shot a few greenheads between the wind in the current one of the birds had drifted out about 200 yards. As Ace went to pick it up I realized that we had timed it up with a barge passing behind him.
