There is something special about places like Lovište. 🌿
At the very end of the Pelješac Peninsula, the road simply ends and the Adriatic takes over. The village lies around a beautiful sheltered bay, surrounded by Mediterranean vegetation, olive groves and small coves. With more than 3,000 hours of sunshine a year and exceptionally clear waters, Lovište is the kind of place made for slow walks, swimming, sailing and simply enjoying the quiet side of Croatia. ☀️🌊

Lovište may be a small village, but its history is surprisingly fascinating.
The area was mentioned as early as 1333, while the modern settlement was established in the 19th century by settlers from the island of Hvar. For decades, its remote location at the western tip of Pelješac kept Lovište isolated from the rest of the peninsula.
Today, this former fishing community remains one of those rare places where history, sea and everyday Dalmatian life meet in a peaceful setting. 🇭🇷🌊
