We are very excited to announce that after a year of hard work, Issue 5 of the Rice Asian Studies Review is now fully published! After a COVID-related hiatus, the staff would like to extend a heartfelt congratulations to all of the authors included in this year's publication. They did amazing work and we are proud to showcase their pieces in our journal.

A big thanks to all of the faculty reviewers who helped to continue our tradition of excellent scholarly analysis, and to Dr. Haejin E.Koh, Dr. Sonia Ryang, and Dr. Steven Wayne Lewis for your tireless work behind the scenes.

RASR is extending our submission deadline for our long-form spring issue to January 26th. Papers related to Asia and Asian diasporic communities (2000-6000 words) will be considered for peer-reviewed publication. Great news everyone,

The RASR staff is happy to announce that we are opening submissions for our Spring 2022 issue. If you or someone you know recently wrote a paper or an article with a focus on Asia or Asian diasporic communities, we invite you to submit your work for possible publication. Submissions for both the long form (2000-6000 word) and short form (1200 words or fewer) will be accepted, please send them to [email protected]. If you have any questions, please send a message to the email above as well. We are looking forward to seeing all of your great work!
