දේශීය ආදායම් දෙපාර්තමේන්තුවේ ජ්‍යෙෂ්ඨ නියෝජ්ය කොමිසාරිස් ජනරාල් නිහාල් විජේවර්ධන මහතා ප්‍රකාශ කර ඇත්තේ, විදේශගත ලාංකේය ශ්රමිකයින්ගේ ආදායම් බදු යටතට ඇතුළත් නොවන බවයි. මැදපෙරදිග, කොරියාව, ජපානය, ඊශ්රායලය, යුරෝපය සහ වෙනත් රටවල සිට ලංකාවට යැවූ මුදල් බදු දැලට ගොදුරු නොවන බව ඔහු සඳහන් කරයි.

විදේශ විනිමය ගිණුම් (Dollar Account) මගින් ලබාගන්නා පොලී ආදායම් සම්පූර්ණයෙන්ම බදු නිදහස් බව ඔහු පැහැදිලි කර ඇත. විදේශ ශ්‍රමිකයන්ගේ ආදායම් බදු වගකීම්වලින් නිදහස් වන බවත්, එම නිසාම ඔවුන් බදු දැලෙන් බැහැරව ඇති බවත් ඔහු අවධාරණය කළේය.
