Nusrat Ghani, a Conservative politician and member of the UK parliament, claims that due to her identifying as a "Muslim" she was fired from being Transport Minister. Ironically, she has actively defended her conservative colleagues against any "Islamophobia" being amongst them, and now she faces it from them herself.

Most importantly, Nusrat Ghani has consistently voiced her support for military engagement in Muslim countries, denounced Muslim values (e.g. Hijaab/Niqaab), and even voted against investigations of war crimes during the US & UK invasion of Iraq.

On the morning of January 9, 2022, a fire ripped through a residential apartment in the Bronx of New York City, US. The incident resulted in the killing of 17 Muslims, eight of them being children.

The community expressed that they acknowledge that death is in the hands of Allah, but the conditions of the people of the Bronx, most of which belong to immigrant communities, are unacceptable. Basic amenities and facilities of the apartments are neglected

The residents had no choice but to use space heaters, since building heaters are non-functioning, and that is what investigators believe was the cause of the fire.

May Allah have mercy on our brothers and sisters around the world, and rectify the affairs of this Ummah, Ameen!

Guantanamo Bay Prison, one of the symbols of the oppressive and failed so-called war on terror led by the US, continues to detain Muslim prisoners who haven't been charged for a crime or given an opportunity to stand trial to defend themselves.

CAGE has been leading an effort to raise awareness of the injustices faced by the prisoners at the prison. They have been working on getting this torture chamber closed once and for all.

We pray to Allah to hasten the release of all Muslim prisoners and unite them with their families, Ameen!

Indeed, the blessed month of Ramadan is an opportunity provided by Allah ﷻ to His servants, so that they may burn their sins and replace them with good deeds

Burning is associated with energy and activity. When someone is involved in an intense exercise we say that they "are burning a lot of energy." Likewise, is the believer in the month of Ramadan, because they are focused on worshipping Allah ﷻ, they are not merely loosing their sins rather burning them!
-
So to our dear beloved brothers and sisters worldwide, make use of the upcoming remaining days of this blessed month, and burn as much sins as possible!

One of the greatest virtues and merits of the month of Ramadan is the revelation of the Qur’an in it. Out of all the 12 months of the year, Allah has chosen this blessed month to reveal His message to His messenger ﷺ 
-
Many of us at least aim to recite the Quran during the month of Ramadan. This is definitely a great act of worship that has within it immense reward. However, in this ayah of the Quran we learn that the Quran is a guide to our lives therefore it is also essential we study it so that we may be guided by the will of Allah
-
It is this guide, the Qur’an, that will help distinguish the evil from the good. How many of us have actually put forth an effort to learn what our Lord says to us? How many of us at the very least attempted to read a translation of what the Creator of all that exists has to say about its creation? How many of us even read the Qur’an?
-
We may wonder why there is a lot of confusion that we are dealing with in our societies today, but the manual and guide that Allah has revealed to us, how many of us have attempted to read and learn it so that we may solve our issues?
-
These are questions we should be asking ourselves, and should be at least the first good resolution for us to take away from this Ramadan
-
May Allah strengthen us in faith, and in our commitment towards the Qur’an... Ameen 🤲

Fasting is not only to refrain from eating, drinking and sexual activity, but also from abstaining from any sort of bad deeds, with the intention of worshipping Allah

Whoever fasts this month with "sincere faith, and hoping to attains Allahs rewards”, is the one who is seeking the reward of Allah by truly believing in the divine command to do it as an obligation, and also fearing the punishment in not doing so
-
The Prophet ﷺ gave glad tidings to the true believers for doing so, which is that Allah will forgive their previous sins. However, Allah will not forgive transgressions against other people in terms of their health, wealth and honour. Such sins can only be forgiven by seeking pardoning from those they transgressed against
-
This hadith clearly shows us the amazing opportunity Allah provides the sincere believer with in the month of Ramadan. So brothers and sisters, in this blessed month we should make use of the opportunities Allah has provided us for the betterment of our faith and worship
-
May Allah accept from us our good deeds and make us from the sincere believers... Ameen!

The past is gone, and you can't do anything about it. Do not spend too much time thinking about what you could have changed or should have done, rather reflect on your mistakes and thats it

Do not overly think about the future. It is not in your hands, rather prepare to the best of your ability and have tawakul(reliance) upon Allah!
-
The present is in your hands and do not postpone what you are suppose to do today by thinking too much about the past or hoping it will get done tommorow, do it now!
-
If you ever feel you are slacking off on your tasks/commitments, then remember the regret and frustration you had the last time you failed to reach a deadline
-
Most of the time we procrastinate because we fail to realize at that moment the negative impact or consequences it has on our responsibilities. Realize that if you delay your commitment now, it will only get much more difficult to deal with later on
-
Seek help if you truly feel you are not able to spend your time wisely, because indeed time is the most valuable resource Allah has blessed us with!

No society or civilization is able to exist without the presence of law and order. Without law, there would be complete chaos. It is an essential component of any community that within it exists guidelines to help protect the lives of the people and their wealth
-
Allah has not left mankind heedless without guidelines to live by. In fact, amongst the primary reasons why Allah has sent Prophets and Messengers is to convey the commandments of Allah and to call mankind to submit to it with obedience
-
Allah is the Creator and Sustainer of the Universe, and therefore His judgement is the best of judgements and is without any flaws. This is from the essential beliefs of every Muslim and is part of what entails the Shahadah or testimony of faith. So, one could not truly be a Muslim while believing the judgement of Allah is not the sole law we should be referring to
-
Those who have abandoned the law of Allah or the Shari’ah clearly demonstrate by this action that they do not prefer the judgement of Allah in governing their societal affairs, which makes their “testimony of faith” nothing but empty words
-
The sole purpose of the Hukm or Judgement of Allah is to ensure the prosperity, flourishing and success in this world, and also the afterlife. The commands and prohibitions are in the best interest of individuals and mankind as a whole. The Muslim world may feel behind the so-called advancements of the West, and this is because of our abandonment of the judgement of Allah for our whims and desires

We live in a time of extreme disinformation and corruption. Most humans are working tirelessly to fulfill their degenerate desires through any means. Life has become purposeless to many human beings and there is very little interest amongst the masses to gain any sort of insight into the reality of life
-
And unfortunately, such people and societies have become role models to the Muslim Ummah. To the extent that they would do anything to imitate them or as some amongst them describe it as “halalifying.”
-
When the year comes to an end, countries in the Muslim World prepare much larger celebrations that are “record breaking” and something that even non-Muslims have never done before. This is quote obvious that such despicable individuals have absolutely no serious understanding of the fundamental principles of Islam. They wake up claiming Islam but at mid-night contradict the very claim they made in the morning. The one who saves their faith by keeping away from such pagan celebrations is falsely accused of being an “extremist” and “backwards.” The Muslim world is not ready for the victory of Allah, because that is only for those who are in obedience to Allah

The Roman Pagans would celebrate the birth of the sun on the 25th of December every year. This is also known as the Winter Solstice

This basically was the celebration of the beginning of longer days, which means more daylight and shorter nights are to start from this day on. The Roman pagans would perform polytheistic rituals to the their “gods.”
-
When Christianity became the dominant and official religion of the Roman empire, they continued celebrating this day but now as the birth of the “son of god” who is considered a source of life for the world similarly like the sun/light. So basically, this was a major pagan innovation introduced into Christianity by the Romans
-
For centuries many Christians and Churches had protested and banned the celebration of Christmas, and in fact according to some historians early Christians completely denounced the idea of celebrating birthdays and declared it a pagan celebration, especially the so-called birthday of The Prophet Jesus Christ the son of Mary (Peace and blessings be upon him)
-
So oh brother and sister who testifies that only Allah is deserving of worship, how could one commemorate such a day while it is purely a pagan ritual and does not even have its basis in Christianity? Not only is this commemorating shirk/polytheism but also the distortion of the message Allah revealed to the Prophet ‘Isa/Jesus. As Muslims we seek goodness for ourselves and non-Muslims alike, but it is not through partnering up in their wrong doing rather calling them to goodness and the light of al-Islam!

May Allah grant us beneficial knowledge and enable us to call others to goodness. May Allah protect us all from all forms of shirk/polytheism…. Ameen! 🤲
