🌱✨ This World Environment Day, I’m reflecting on the people who inspire me to keep showing up for our planet. ✨🌍
Our latest Willow Reads issue, Sustaining Us, couldn’t have come at a better time. The theme for this year’s is , and every feature in this issue connects powerfully to that message.
💚 Good Humans 268 in Antigua and Barbuda are making waves—literally—by organizing shoreline cleanups, reducing single-use plastics, and cultivating a culture of sustainable living.
🌿 Lionel Seucharan of Tropi-Mulch Mulch Blend is pioneering the circular economy in Trinidad and Tobago, transforming organic waste into eco-friendly mulch, and co-piloting the LinkUp waste exchange initiative to connect businesses and waste producers for smarter resource use.
🍃 Juan Carlos Garcia , a dedicated researcher and sustainable agriculture advocate, continues to empower others through sustainable agriculture training. His work bridges climate science, education, and food security—showing how rooted knowledge can bloom into global impact.
This issue is not just about sustainability—it’s about the people sustaining us. It’s about Caribbean innovation. It’s about leadership rooted in care.
I’m so proud to share this work and even prouder to know some of these incredible changemakers personally.
