Homemade Egg Biscuits with Semai and Nuts
Ingredients:
- 1 egg
- 1 cup sugar
- ÂŊ teaspoon vanilla essence
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- A pinch of salt
- 3â4 tablespoons ghee
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1â2 tablespoons oil (for binding)
- Semai (vermicelli) for garnish
- Cashew and almond pieces for garnish
Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 150°C (300°F).
2. In a bowl, beat the egg and sugar well until creamy and smooth.
3. Add vanilla essence, baking powder, and a pinch of salt. Mix thoroughly.
4. Incorporate ghee and oil, then gradually fold in the flour to form a soft dough.
5. Shape the dough into your desired biscuit shapes.
6. Garnish each biscuit with semai and chopped cashew and almond pieces.
7. Place the biscuits on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
8. Bake in the preheated oven at 150°C for 20â25 minutes or until golden brown.
9. Allow to cool before serving.
Tips:
- You can lightly toast the semai before garnishing for extra crunch.
- Store in an airtight container to keep biscuits crisp.
