The Silent Thread, a short film by 1130 Media Group, has been officially invited to screen at the Teleos Film Festival.

The invitation marks the first festival screening selection for the completed film, following earlier recognition for the screenplay. Screenings will take place in late March.

We’re grateful to for the opportunity to share this work with festival audiences.

The screenplay has now received 5 festival awards, including a Quarter-Finalist selection from the Christian Faith, Hope & Love Screenwriting Competition & Film Festival.

Principal photography begins March 9.

We’re excited to welcome Ian Glass as Cody in This Side of Broken.

Ian is a rising young actor from Eastern North Carolina with experience across film, commercials, and the stage, including sold-out productions at the New Bern Civic Theatre. He brings a natural, grounded presence and emotional honesty to every role.

As Cody, Ian plays one of Mack’s men — the quiet lookout on the docks when deals go down. He doesn’t make the noise… but he always knows what’s coming.

On location in New Bern during final pre-production for This Side of Broken.

Soon, across that bridge in the distance, someone who won’t cross it willingly is taken.

Some locations carry weight long before the cameras roll.

This Side of Broken was named a Quarter-Finalist in the 2026 Sedona International Film Festival Screenplay Competition.

We’re a little late posting this, but here’s a BTS shot from a night shoot a few weeks ago on the feature film - The Return. I was DP on this project for writer/director Erika Santos, and this setup was deep in the woods on a cold, dark night.

Night shoots are always challenging, but there’s something rewarding about shaping light when you’re surrounded by nothing but darkness. Grateful for the opportunity to help bring this story to life.

We’re proud to announce Emma Rose Raso joins the cast of This Side of Broken as Ellie — a spirited and heartfelt young character whose presence brings depth and hope to the story.

Making her feature film debut, Emma impressed us with her natural emotion and quiet strength on screen — qualities that capture the heart of Ellie perfectly.

Emma’s mom and manager,
, also appears in the film as Ms. Elena, adding a special real-life connection to the cast.
