We’re proud to announce that Chris Johnson has joined the cast of This Side of Broken as Eddie.

Chris began his artistic journey through spoken word before stepping into stage and screen. His credits include the TV crime series Fatal Attraction and ATL Homicide, along with films such as Waiting on the Brooklyn Bridge and Gerald’s Hands.

A U.S. Air Force veteran, Chris brings authenticity, strength, and quiet resilience to the role of Eddie — a character defined by service, protection, and steady presence. We couldn’t be more honored to have him as part of this project.

I was filming a documentary for the Discovery Channel, covering multiple locations across Nevada. One of the wildest setups had me hanging out of a helicopter to get the shot. 🚁📷

It was a different time — no drones, just you, the camera, and the air beneath your feet.

We’re proud to announce that Aaron Pushkar has joined the cast of This Side of Broken as Mack.

With training in Stella Adler and Uta Hagen technique, Aaron brings decades of experience to the screen. His credits include 115 Grains (2023), The Wreck of Echo 10-4 (2022), and a guest appearance on The Office.

As Mack, Aaron takes on a role defined by calm menace and control — a presence that commands the screen with quiet force. We couldn’t be more honored to have him as part of this project.

We are proud to welcome Joan Reilly to the cast of The Silent Thread in the role of Margaret.

Joan’s career in film, television, theatre, and commercials began when she appeared alongside Lily Tomlin in HBO’s Eastbound and Down. Since then, her credits include Couples Therapy (2025), an inspirational Christian film through Living World Studios, and May December (2022), where she portrayed Lydia, floral arrangement teacher to Julianne Moore and Natalie Portman.

As Margaret, Joan embodies the grace and quiet strength of a grandmother whose story is central to the film’s exploration of love, silence, and enduring hope. We are honored to have her join us for this production.

We are proud to welcome Gerianne Hannibal
to the cast of The Silent Thread in the role of Claire.

Gerianne’s career has taken her from Cleveland courtrooms to the stage and screen. After decades as a lawyer, she transitioned into acting, bringing strength, authenticity, and depth to every role. Her theatre credits include Ouiser in Steel Magnolias (Boone, NC) and Vivian Proclo in The Ritz (Winston-Salem, NC), and she has filmed in over 10 states, most recently the feature They Were Art Thieves in Ithaca, NY.

As Claire, Gerianne embodies the quiet resilience and hope that lies at the heart of our story. We are honored to have her join us for this film.

We’re proud to welcome John Henry Richardson to the cast of This Side of Broken in the role of Franklin.

With more than 400 film, TV, and stage credits, John’s career spans Netflix’s Mom Don’t Do That!, VET-TV’s A Grunt’s Life, and the action series Seven Days in China. He has also earned over 50 Best Actor awards at international film festivals.

John Henry brings wisdom, quiet strength — and a touch of humor — to Franklin, the steady anchor of the transitional home. We’re honored to have him join our cast. 🎬

The cameras may look different now compared to my Arri and RED cameras, but the drive to capture a good story hasn’t changed.

This time, I’m heading back on the water for something new — Mack’s world in This Side of Broken.

We’re proud to announce that Quinn Aune has joined the cast of This Side of Broken in the role of Sadie.

Quinn is an Atlanta-based actress with credits in Young Sheldon, Legions of Exorcists, and Babushka. Her upcoming roles include Apple TV’s Lucky and Amazon’s Scarpetta.

She’ll be starring alongside her real-life mother, Rachael Murphy (Cass) — bringing a unique authenticity to this powerful story of family, loyalty, and redemption.

25+ years ago, I was behind the camera on a series of commercials for INSP TV — shooting on an Aaton Super 16mm and even directing my daughter in one of them. The cameras may have changed, but the love of storytelling hasn’t.

Excited to be stepping onto new sets soon with several upcoming features.

An Australian-born actress and model, Rachael has appeared in projects such as Iron Man 2, Don’t Look Up, and Nip/Tuck. She now takes on the role of Cass — a woman whose strength and resolve are tested in unexpected ways.

Rachael will also share the screen with her real-life daughter, Quinn Aune, who stars as Sadie. Their bond adds a powerful layer of authenticity to the story, and we can’t wait to share their performances with you. 🎬
