UPDATE: The kids have left the safe spot and are returning to the school.

BREAKING NEWS: This morning at 8:05 am the Franklin High School and Franklin Junior High School were evacuated due to a threat. All students and staff were evacuated safely and in an orderly fashion. We do know that the students were evacuated to Gerke Elementary School and then put on a bus and taken to an alternate location, which we will not disclose for the safety of the students and staff. We will keep you posted with details.

Missing Person from Franklin: Wallace Walters (70 year old male) missing from Mentz Road.

Went missing around 2:00 PM today. Has dementia and suffers from dizzy spells. Drives a 2008 Chrysler. Plate 981 YQF.

HAPPENING NOW: the Ohio State Patrol and Warren County Sheriff are attempted to catch up to a purple Dodge Challenger that fled from OSP. Vehicle is now at 48 and Pekin Road

UPDATE: now in pursuit on 123 S bound (11:35 am)

UPDATE: subjects fled on foot at casino but are both in custody. (11:44 am)

POLICE PURSUIT: Today, Springboro Police and Franklin Police were involved in a pursuit around 3:00 PM today. The pursuit started in the Mill Street area and ended in front of the Franklin High School. Here is the radio feed if you’re interested in learning more of the details.
