The History of STRONG Women:

Josephine Baker was the first black actress & elegant Vaudeville dancer born on June 3rd 1906 who later became a civil rights activist. She was rejected by the USA audience for the dark colour of her natural skin.

She later, migrated to France where she became a star, & upon her return faced more discrimination. She became an activist speaking against colour prejudice, hatred & hostility in every day America. She was one of two female speakers who gave the civil rights speech shortly before Martin Luther King's famous I HAVE A DREAM speech.

During World War II, she aided the war effort by being a spy of intelligence for the French Resistance. She was the first African American actress to star in SIRENS of The Tropics in 1927. She died on April 12, 1975 after a brief illness. May her soul rest in perfect peace. All women have all it takes to leave a lasting legacy in this world regardless of the abuse, discrimination & disrespect all women face daily. Let all women rise above hate & abuse
