The King Cobra is the longest venomous snake on Earth…
but the Black Mamba is built like pure speed and panic. 🐍⚡
A fully grown king cobra can reach over 5.5 meters long and carries enough neurotoxic venom to kill an elephant. Yet despite its terrifying size, it usually avoids humans and prefers intimidation over attack. When threatened, it raises nearly a third of its body off the ground, spreads its hood, and emits a deep growl-like hiss that sounds almost unreal.
The black mamba follows a completely different strategy. Faster, leaner, and incredibly aggressive when cornered, it can strike multiple times in seconds while moving at speeds up to 20 km/h. Its venom attacks the nervous system rapidly, and without treatment, symptoms can escalate frighteningly fast.
One rules with size and intimidation.
The other with speed and precision.
Both are masterpieces of evolution… and both deserve distance and respect in the wild.
