People can contact the Samaritans with all sorts of concerns, you could be going through something new or have been struggling to cope for some time, either way, they are here for you if you feel you need some extra support.
Some common reasons people contact the Samaritans are:
Relationship and family problems, financial worries, job-related stress, college or study-related stress, Loneliness, depression, painful and/or disabling physical illness, heavy use of or dependency on alcohol or other drugs, thoughts of su***de, if what’s getting to you isn’t on this list, please still get in touch.

Are you Anxious worried or stressed? TEXT SHOUT TO 85258 DAY AND NIGHT FOR EMOTIONAL SUPPORT DURING A CRISIS.
By texting ‘SHOUT’ to ‘85258’ you will be put in touch with a trained Crisis Volunteer who will chat to you using trained techniques via text. The service is designed to help individuals to think more clearly and to take their next steps to feeling better.
They can help with urgent issues such as: Suicidal thoughts, Abuse or assault, Self-harm, Bullying, Relationship problems.
CALM- campaign against living miserably
A registered charity which exists to prevent su***de in the UK. They run a free and Confidential webchat – 7 hours a day, (5pm till midnight) 7 days a week for anyone who needs to talk about life’s problems.

National site, children can access this themselves, it’s a young person friendly site and there are lots of different activities to access, they can have their own private “locker’ to log their feelings and play games and read helpful advice and information about how they feel, they can also see how others have dealt with situations and feelings, there is also one to one access to a counsellor if they need it.

Dudes and dogs provide a weekly meeting for men, similar to Andy’s man club, except it involves having a group leader who will take the group of men for a walk, the group leader will have his dog with him, the other mean can either bring their dog along with them or come alone, this service aims to be running UK wide very soon.
