Controlled Burn Notification: Sandstone Point 🔥👇
A planned burn of Eimeo Place Park, Sandstone Point is scheduled for tomorrow, Saturday 20 August 2022. The burn is required to reduce the volume of forest litter fuel, thereby reducing potential bushfire hazards.

➡️Keep outdoor furniture under cover to prevent ember burns
➡️Retract pool covers and shade structures to prevent ember damage
➡️Remove washing from clothes lines
➡️Ensure pets have a protected area
➡️If driving through smoke, vehicles must slow down, keep windows up and turn headlights on
➡️Sightseers must keep away from the burns for their own safety.
If you have asthma or other breathing difficulties, reduce outdoor activities when smoke levels are high. If shortness of breath or coughing develops, take advised medical precautions or seek medical advice.
