Yesterday a big power outage affected Portugal, Spain and the South of France. We were out of electricity for more than 8 hours and as you could imagine some people started panicking and ruined the supermarket stocks...
At the same time, I saw people on the streets, on the beach, children playing and neighbours talking to each other on a Monday afternoon. As we're all "forced" to slow down and experience a digital detox.
In one moment, everything feels stable: we go to work, we scroll through our phones, we plan our next vacation. And then—without warning—something shifts. A power outage. A layoff. A health scare. A global crisis. And suddenly the foundation we were standing on doesn't feel so solid.
👉🏻 We don't control most of what happens to us. But we can control how we prepare, how we adapt, and what we value. Investing in relationships, in skills that aren't tied to one specific job or system, in our health and community—all of this builds a more resilient life. Like a plan B that most of us never think about.
And maybe the greatest takeaway is this: when we remember how quickly things can change, we start living with more presence, more gratitude, and more purpose. ✨
