Today we honor the strength of our ancestors, the joy of liberation, and the ongoing journey toward justice. ✊🏽 On June 19, 1865—two and a half years after the Emancipation Proclamation—freedom finally reached those still enslaved in Galveston, Texas.
Juneteenth is not just about history—it's about our power to rise, to create, to thrive.
Let this day be a reminder: We are the prayers of our ancestors. We are the vision they dreamed. We are still rising. 🌻
