I don't do cold therapy near as much as I would like to. Sunday I finally made my way down to the creek by my dad's house and did my first natural water cold plunge. Cold tubs are cool and handy tools but there's something more refreshing about being in nature while you freeze your balls off.

In this episode I sat down with middleweight strongman athlete . Tyler currently competes in the 105 weight class having gone to both Clash and Nationals. We got into conversation about his desire to become a coach, massage therapist, and facility owner. Tyler is very knowledgeable in the realm of how the human body works, how to lay out an efficient program, and how to read a persons needs in the physical aspect of training. This was a great episode, I learned a lot and I look forward to having Tyler on in the future.

In this episode I was able to sit down with all five members of the Southwestern Pennsylvania hardcore band . Being able to sit down with an entire band to discuss their music is always fun and Speaking in Tongues did not disappoint. Each member in the band very clearly brings something different to the table and to say that they have almost visible synergy is an understatement. From hearing about their creative process to finding out how they bring their live shows to the forefront of the scene was a truly inspiring experience and I feel lucky to have sat down with a band that has their vision so clearly etched. I look forward to everything they do in the future and I highly suggest that anyone who enjoys heavy, purposeful music to check them out.

In this episode I sat down with John Greeves, the founder of . Garage Gym Life Media aims to promote not only garage gyms but any home gym whether it be in a shed, car port, basement, attic, you name it and John is ready to promote it. Garage Gym Life Media is also responsible for a number of live streams for amateur strength sports from powerlifting to strongman to grip sports. John was a very knowledgeable guest and we were able to cover a variety of topics. John is a very down to earth guy who is very passionate about what he does in the strength community. Not only is what he and his team do necessary but it is also the next logical step in ensuring that strength sports grab the attention and recognition they deserve. I hope you are able to gain as much from this conversation as I did and as always, enjoy.

In this episode I was fortunate enough to sit down with adaptive athlete Sam Schaefer. Sam is a veteran, Crossfit coach, highland games world record holder and has competed at the Arnold in both Olympic lifting and highland games. Sam was a a superb guest and an absolute pleasure to have on. Seeing the perspective of someone who embraces an amputation and goes in head first was a unique experience that would be hard to replicate. Sam is a very genuine guy who has an obvious love for life and takes full advantage of the opportunities presented to him.

This week I sat down with Daylight Society band members Pat, Dan, and Zack. Daylight Society is punk band based out of State College, PA and have been playing together for 6 months now. I only mention the time they've been together because these guys seriously rock. Their music is brings punk back to the beginning roots with fast music, straight forward lyrics, and strong passion. I couldn't have asked for better guests to host my first multiple guest episode. Each member brings unique insight and influence to the band and I even learned a few things about the genre in the time I had them on. Do yourself a favor and check out their EP on BandCamp and follow their Instagram .

Opened Facebook and found out about Louie Simmons passing. I usually don't post about the passing of people I don't know, or any people for that matter. But we've lost a legend today. I used to put Westside vs The World on the TV when I would work out because I knew that if some old mother fu**er could gather up the motivation to lift at 70 years old I had no excuse. This is truly a shock and Louie will be missed by many.

In this episode I attempted to gather some questions for a Q&A episode. I only got three questions but it was enough to get through an entire episode. I don't generally enjoy doing solo episodes but I could change for more Q&As. Listen and enjoy.

This week I sat down with my friend and teammate Nolan Toohey . As always when I have a fellow strongman on the sport dominates our conversation. We discussed everything from injury recovery to why we began competing in the sport to begin with. It's always an easy episode when I get to sit down with a friend. Give the episode a listen and let me know what you think.

This week I sat down with Marinea Heindel, also known as . Marinea makes jewelry and various displays out of insects. We discussed the process she uses to preserve them, where she finds the insets she uses while living in the city, and the process she uses to form metal to the insects. If you're looking for a unique piece of jewelry head over to her Instagram where you can find a link to her Etsy.

Got to meet an absolute giant today. I started watching JT Sowards in starting strongman before I ever started competing so to be competing at the same comp as him is kind of surreal. He's extremely humble and supportive dude and it was a pleasure to have him cheer me on.

Of all the things that could have come from doing an episode with this is easily the coolest. I messaged Rene to do an episode taking about his comics but to be essentially features in one is beyond awesome. Rene, thanks again for coming on. It was a fantastic episode and I really look forward to seeing more of your art in the future.

16/02/2022

In this episode I sat down for an hour and a half with Rene Gautreaux who runs the Instagram page . What originally brought me to this page was Rene's comic style journal he uploads everyday. While art was the original focus for this episode we branched out into mental health, techniques for people to use to cope with ADHD, socio-economic issues, and self-image. As always thank you for listening and i hope you enjoy the episode.
