When I decided to jump into the world of virtual assistants, I had no idea what I was doing. All I knew was I wanted more freedom-freedom to work from home, be with my kids, and ditch the 9-5 grind.
Here's the steps I took to get started, and you can too:
Step 1: I picked the services I already knew I was good at-admin support, data entry, customer service, and things like that. No need to reinvent the wheel when I could help people with the skills I already had.
Step 2: I created service packages for 5, 10, and 20 hours. This made it easier for clients to choose what they needed and for me to manage my time efficiently. Simple but effective.
Step 3: I built a simple portfolio. Nothing crazy, just a place to show what I could do and prove I was the right fit.
Step 4: I reached out to people I already knew-friends, family, and even old coworkers. You'd be surprised how many people are ready and willing to hire a VA. (And if they don't need help? They'll probably know someone who does!)
Step 5: I got myself on social media and into networking groups. The first posts were nerve-wracking, but once l started sharing consistently, it got easier!
And the best part? You can get started while still working your full-time job. Slowly build up clients until you're able to replace your current income and step into the life you've always wanted.
None of this happened overnight, but it was worth it! If you're ready to stop dreaming and start doing, grab my full guide. I'll walk you through everything you need to start your own VA business and finally create the freedom you crave.
