Papaya-related Fun or "Weird" Words:
1. Carica papaya – Its scientific name.
2. Pawpaw – In some places like Australia or the Caribbean, papaya is also called pawpaw.
3. Papain – The digestive enzyme found in papaya (used in meat tenderizers!).
4. Fruit of the Angels – What Christopher Columbus reportedly called it.
5. Latex fruit – Because unripe papaya contains a milky latex.
