Poetry and Art News spotlights hidden poetry and art gems from around the world. Every published work is news.

Poetry and Art News gives writers and artists the opportunity to have important creative work mentioned in a media publication.

Poetry and Art News gives writers and artists the opportunity to advocate for their own art in their own words.

The interview format gives writers and artists a chance to articulate important themes and connect their work to their geographical milieu. This enhances your online profile and brings new eyes to your work, by topic and region.

The Project
Any kind of published, performed, or produced creative work is eligible. Any poem, short story, novel, play, article, song, painting, photo project, gallery showing, performance, sculpture, film – any type of art is eligible to be featured.

Only projects that have not received media coverage at the time of submission to Poetry and Art News are eligible.

Direct submissions from poets, writers, artists, photographers, performers, editors, curators, directors, and publishers are welcome. Submissions made on behalf of someone else are not accepted. Read the Submission guidelines.

These ten poets represent their local communities, cities, and countries. One of them will be crowned the 2026 Poetry World Cup Champion.

The Legends of Shakespeare's Pen.

Poet from around the world are invited to submit to Wax Poetry and Art's ONLY PAYING CONTEST! There's a $50 CAD prize for the winner.

And, the winner is decided, not by the editor, but by the readers. The most-read poem will win First Place!
