Dejanae Lashay Patterson, 23, of Minneapolis is charged with second-degree assault and first-degree property damage.

Charges allege Patterson rammed the vehicle of her ex-boyfriend's new girlfriend during a domestic dispute last week. The ramming occurred as the two victims tried to flee from the suspect on Hwy. 55. Nobody was injured, and police located Patterson's vehicle which showed signs of extensive front-end damage and some damage on the rear.

Patterson remains in custody on $75,000 bail

The FBI is warning the public about an emerging phishing scheme by criminals impersonating city and county officials to solicit fraudulent payments for city and county planning and zoning permits. The criminals leverage publicly available permit information to identify potential victims and increase the legitimacy of the scam. Victims of this scam have been identified nationwide.

Victims receive unsolicited emails citing their permit information, zoning application numbers, and/or property addresses. Victims are instructed to pay invoices for fees related to their permits and directed to make payments via wire transfer, peer-to-peer payment, or cryptocurrency.

Golden Valley police say Robbinsdale School District staff impeded their investigation into a gun incident at Sandburg Middle School. Two students have now been charged with a felony gun crime.

Two male students at Sandburg Middle School have been charged for their involvement in a Nov 11, 2022 incident. Both students were charged with one count of possessing ammunition/pistol/assault weapon-under 18 years old, which is a felony.
