A man donated his kidney to his girlfriend’s mother but the girlfriend ended up marrying someone else a month later. Uziel Martínez, a teacher from Mexico, made a series of videos recounting the sad experience. The resident of Baja California, Mexico, took to TikTok to narrate how he donated his kidney to his ex-girlfriend’s mother. His girlfriend left him not long after and married someone else within a month of their break-up. Martinez& #39;s video has now gone viral as people sympathise with him. Reacting to the messages of support he received, he assured people that he is doing well, both mentally and physically. He added that he is also recovering well from a kidney transplant. He insisted that he does not hold any grudge against his ex-girlfriend despite the heartbreak. He told Mexico Daily News: & #34;I don’t have anything against her … we’re not friends but we don’t hate each other. I only made the video for TikTok, I didn’t think it would get out of control

FG Set To Pay Nnamdi Kanu ₦1 Billion
An Abia State High Court presided over by Hon. Justice Benson Anya in Umuahia, the state capital on Wednesday, awarded N1bn damage in favour of the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu against the Federal Government.
Kanu, through his lawyer, Aloy Ejimakor had approached the court seeking N5bn damage against the Federal Government over the alleged invasion of his father's house on September 10, 2017 by the military.
Hon. Justice Anya described the invasion of Kanu's Afaraukwu residence as notorious and brazen. He however struck out other reliefs sought by Kanu's legal team, including his repatriation from Kenya and continued detention by the DSS.
The presiding judge also granted the relief sought by Kanu's legal team, ordering the Federal Government to issue a public apology in three national dailies over the illegal invasion of Kanu's Afaraukwu residence. He also advised the Federal Government to adopt a political resolution in dealing with issues involving Kanu.

Captain of the Guinea Bissau national team, Jonas Azevedo Mendes has vowed that they would rather ‘die’ than see themselves lose today’s match against the Super Eagles.

Mendes, who is the team’s first-choice goalkeeper said they will be out in full force to battle the Super Eagles for a victory.

Asked if there was any particular player in the Eagles team they were targeting, Mendes said, “we know Nigeria is a good team. It will be a mistake to target any particular player. We are facing all of them with equal attention,” he said.

Raised in Portugal, the goalkeeper has spent most of his playing career in the third tier of Portuguese football.

Socialite and Chairman of Cubana group of companies, Obi Iyiegbu, popularly known as Obi Cubana was on Thursday January 13, grilled by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency for an alleged link to the illegal narcotic business.

Punch reported that Obi Cubana was grilled for about five hours at the Abuja headquarters of the NDLEA before he was granted bail and asked to return at a future date.

Sources told the publication that suspicious payments were made into Cubana’s account by three convicted drug dealers from Malaysia, Nigeria and India.

It was further gathered that operatives of the NDLEA and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission have now widened the probe into Cubana and his business network, based on the premise that he may be involved in the drug business.

The source told the publication;

“Obi Cubana arrived at the NDLEA office around 9am and responded to questions for some hours before he was granted bail at 2pm. There are suspicions that he may be a drug kingpin. Some convicted drug dealers paid funds into his account.
“We have been able to establish three of such payments. One of the persons that paid money into his account was convicted in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; another one that was convicted in New Delhi, India; also paid money into his account while a third person that was arrested at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos and convicted in 2017, also paid money into Cubana’s account."

Cubana is reportedly expected to present some documents to NDLEA on their next meeting. When Obi Cubana's aide, Chioma Nwachukwu was contacted by Punch, she said;

“There is no comment on the matter now."

The socialite who has been in the nightclub business since 2006, grabbed international headlines last July when he organised a lavish funeral for his mother, Ezinne Iyiegbu, in Oba, Idemili South local government area of Anambra State.

According to the report, Some of Obi Cubana's associates who have also been grilled include Pascal Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest; and the Chairman, Five Star Group, Emeka Okonkwo aka E-Money.

The Coalition of Northern Groups (CNG) has warned that any attempt by President Buhari to release Kanu outside the court processes would reduce Nigeria to a lawless state where criminals commit crimes and ask their leaders to press for their release.

In a press conference in Kano, the Coalition, which consists of rights and Civil organisations in Northern Nigeriia, expressed strong opposition to the release of Kanu saying Buhari shouldn't interfere with the principles of seperation of powers and the independence of the judiciary and that Buhari would be held responsible for the ''lives of Northerners killed by the activities of Kanu.''

“We especially note, with deep sense of concern, the unrelenting desperation by certain interest groups in the South East to subvert the due process of justice and tamper with the judicial processes since Kanu’s arraignment,” the group said.

The Coalition, through its spokesperson, Abdul-Azeez Suleiman warned that the "North would not remain idle when its people are deliberately targeted and killed while the alleged perpetrators are shielded by their leaders."

It added that the North "would hold President Buhari responsible for the blood of Northerners unlawfully shed through the activities of Kanu in the event he succumbed to pressure to release the IPOB leader.''

“The North has today realised that he (Buhari) places more premium on the pursuit of votes and political popularity than he does for the sanctity of lives of Northerners and security personnel who stake their lives in the service of the nation.”

The Coalition said the Igbo group that visited Buhari to ask for Kanu's release has vindicated its position that the criminal activities of Kanu was fully supported by the vast majority of Igbo elders, politicians, religious leaders, traditional rulers, and people of the South East.

The Coalition then asked for the arrest and prosecution of Igbo leaders involved in attempts to free Kanu by subverting the course of justice.

Elder, Tanko Yakasai, in an interview with Daily Sun, said

“The country is enjoying a harmonious relationship among its various ethnic groups which would be affected if Kanu is released"

Their mother was writing quiz,and his little sister was crying. He had no option than to mix her food and started feeding her. This little boy won my admiration today. Learn to train your sons to be responsible because in the future they will be of help Train your sons just as you train your daughters. If his mother had not train him very well,she would have suffered so much today.

Bruce Fein, an American lawyer representing Nnamdi Kanu in the United States has threatened to file a petition before the International Criminal Court over an alleged violation of his client’s rights.Fein who was denied access to the courtroom after turning up on Wednesday November 10 to monitor the trial of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), disclosed that this is the fifth time he& #39;s being subjected to such. The American lawyer stated that this is in violation to court order which allowed Nnamdi Kanu access to three persons. He also revealed that he will be going United States Congress and urging that sanctions be considered against Nigeria for gross violations of fundamental human rights. Fein said & #34;Today was the fifth time I was told I could not enter the courtroom despite the court’s previous order that Nnamdi could have access to any three persons he wants to.“I had the chance to talk briefly to him on my way to the courtroom. It is clear that I am the target in particular. That’s the reason why this proceeding did not transpire today.“And I’m here to tell Nigerians and the international community that I’m taking this to international tribunals. It is clear that the Nigerian tribunals are compromised.& #34;I will petition the Working Group on Arbitrary Detention in Geneva, the International Court of Justice in the Hague, the ICC in the Hague and I’ll be going to the United States Congress and urging that sanctions be considered against Nigeria for gross violations of fundamental human rights”.“I’m here not to be an irritant but there are huge international law issues that are present in Nnamdi Kanu’s case. I’m here because I’m an international expert to provide more enlightenment on what legal issues are present here.& #34;Nnamdi Kanu& #39;s lead counsel here in Nigeria, Ifeanyi Ejiofor has also debunked claim of he and his team staging a walkout in court. Ejiofor stated that the legal team did not walk out of the court, but were locked out.
