Want to start shooting real estate? 🎥 Here's the gear you actually need (you don’t have to buy exactly what I’ve got here):

📷 Camera – Pick a camera that shoots 4k & has a log profile
📐 Wide-Angle Lens – Show those rooms properly. (12mm is perfect)
🎙️ Lavalier Mic – Clear audio is non-negotiable if you’re filming intros or tours.
⚖️ Gimbal – DJI RS3 or RS4 (Normal & Pro work fine)
🚁 Drone – A drone that shoots at minimum 4k

Don’t get stuck selling gear every 6 months. Invest smart early, and your wallet (and sanity) will thank you later.

From a young age, I did certain things related to filmmaking at a very amateur level but instantly knew I had a passion for making videos but didn’t know what part of the industry I was wanting to pursue. I was in love with creating youtube videos and enjoying every bit of the filming and the post-production process even know very few people would even see the videos. I slowly drifted away from that due to negativity but years later something clicked.

In Mid October 2019, I had the idea to start my own business. At this time it was a long shot and a very broad idea but I went for it. I saved up for a camera and its necessary equipment and accessories, I then used my family and friend connections to reach to try and land a shoot (obviously free of charge) and figure out what I would enjoy doing. Once I had a decent amount of experience under my belt, I knew where and what I had to improve on before working with bigger businesses and companies.

I worked on these aspects over the COVID 19 break and invested in a major upgrade of all of my equipment. I then came back stronger than ever working with companies and businesses across Newcastle and receiving overwhelming feedback.

I am now in a great position with Ward Visuals and continuing to offer video production for all different types of businesses and clients across NSW.
