As a sub myself, it took me awhile to comprehend the power and control I actually have in my relationships. to understand that subs are fully independent, with complete agency to make their own decisions, which often require much reflection and self-awareness. they are actively giving up control and power to their doms, which definitely isn’t weak or passive
