Frankly Speaking Films is looking for a part-time Community and Social Media Manager who loves storytelling, film, and building community.

Frankly Speaking Films is a mission-driven independent production company focused on authentic storytelling to address the deep need for representation of q***r women and nonbinary people’s stories. Our q***r, women-led team creates, directs, produces and executive produces short and feature length documentaries, fiction films, series and community engagement projects. Our award-winning, Oscar® shortlisted and Emmy nominated films are on Netflix, Apple, Amazon, Hulu, PBS, and The New Yorker.

At Frankly Speaking Films, joy is more than a feeling. It is fuel. It is how we resist erasure. It is how we show up for one another. It is how we tell stories that move the world forward.

Our films have: 
✨raised $1M+ for LGBTQ+ women and nonbinary people 
✨sparked 1,000 medical professionals to improve care for disabled patients and caregivers 
✨helped enshrine abortion access in 7 states

🎬 This Sunday, NOV 23: Curve is thrilled to host a special virtual watch party and filmmaker Q&A featuring The Le***an Bar Project ***anbarproject! Jen Rainin of Frankly Speaking will be in conversation with LBP co-creator Erica Rose.

You’ve heard the statistics before: le***an bars have rapidly diminished. This project was launched to document the remaining le***an bars in the US—just 21 when the project began in 2020. For this event, we’ll be screening the first episode of the docuseries, which spotlights Pearl Bar in Houston, TX, and its founder, Julie Mabry.
