Finally got to visit our neighbors and friends ❤️☕️

Coffee Central is a full-service Coffee House located in both Hernando and Southaven, MS. So, yes, while they’re technically not in Memphis, they have long shown huge support for many Memphis coffee roasters and friends (us included)!〽️☺️

They’re more than just a coffee shop, however. They emphasize community above all. Their monthly live music night benefits a different nonprofit every month. and a portion of all their proceeds go to help survivors of human trafficking locally and around the world. 🌍

Coffee Central is a sponsor of our upcoming latte art throw down (Nov 4) in addition to being a new vendor at this years Xpo (Nov 5)!We are so thankful for their generosity, kindness, and support for Memphis over the years. Get those pouring hands ready ‘cause we’re THROWING DOWN! 🥊🥊 ☕️

Join us on Friday, Nov 4 at as we kick-off with a bang! Watch as barista competitors go head-to-head to see who can pour the best latte art designs. Top 3 competitors will win cash prizes, coffee gear, swag, and merch from some of biggest names in coffee like , , , , and more! You can sign up to compete at the link in our bio or sign up in-person on Nov. 4 at 6PM. Your $10 registration fee also includes a free ticket to this years Xpo (Nov. 5) as well as a beer pass! First pour is at 7PM. Bring a friend!

This event is FREE to attend and open to the public. There will be burgers () and beer () available for purchase. 🍔🍺 and ofc, there will be plenty of coffee drinks available to snag at the end of each round!

For the second year in a row, has neglected to verify the submissions of their own “best of Memphis” competition, specifically when it comes to the “Best Coffee Roaster” nominations. While we hold nothing but love for Otherlands and the others listed here, we feel the need to make our own corrections as one of those is definitely not a coffee roaster. Also, we know that there is a fee to be nominated and it could just be that no one else wanted/cared to pay it. Our issue isn’t with the fee but more so the lack of verification of submissions.

We know so many in our city who work hard to produce some of the finest coffee around town and they are all so well deserving of recognition.

That said, swipe left to find absolute killer coffee roasters in Memphis who may not be listed here but definitely definitely “best of Memphis” to us ❤️

From roasters to shops, the Grind City Coffee Xpo highlights the amazing people and passion that exists in our coffee community!⁠⁠ incredible vendors feature not only some of the best coffee in the city, but a driving desire to create ethical, open, and inviting local communities. Join us on Saturday, November 5th from 9 AM - 3 PM to support local and see what the buzz is all about!

It’s been a heavy week in Memphis. Our hearts are hurting for and with the city. Our city. We Hope y’all are able to slow down, rest up, and find peace today.

A few local shops are offering free drip coffee today and have opened their spaces for y’all to process and be with community.
